👩💻 Meet Polina from our Tech Team! For more than two and a half years, Polina has been an important part of Peter Park’s backend development, helping to design and build the systems that power our platform. We asked Polina a few questions about her role at Peter Park:

What does a typical workday in Team Tech look like?
💬 Most people would probably imagine the work of a developer as „grab a coffee and start coding“. I am made of tea and coding unfortunately cannot be started without someone first properly defining what actually should be done. Pretty often that person is me. So, my work consists of a lot of meetings with product owners and with other teams to define what business needs and wrap it into how we can implement it in our system in the fastest and cleanest possible way.
What has been your personal highlight at Peter Park so far?
💬 2 years ago we had a retreat in Italy. The orga team asked, if there are any volunteers for organisation of morning/evening sport activities. I, very asocial person, for some reason proposed the dancing moves workshop, that I was at that time participating myself at a fitness studio. When the time came, surprisingly enough there were more men participating in the course than women (which is NEVER the case in the studio). I was hellish scared, but I feel like the course at the end of the day was a huge success. Why is it a highlight? Because I felt very much supported by the audience during something I have never done before and it was a lot of fun
