Data for Diplomas, hosted by Devpost and AT&T, is an online technology competition focused on leveraging data to increase the U.S. high school graduation rate. The hackathon aims to inspire new technology that could increase the on-time graduation rate to 90 percent by the year 2020. Devpost is asking data engineers and developers to analyze graduation and Census data to build visualizations and apps that surface new insights into the factors inhibiting (or driving) graduation rates.

There are $40,000 in prizes for the projects that could best shape policy and behavioral changes to get more students across the commencement stage. Submissions are due November 10.
