What’s on the workbench today at TWS?

Today we had an exciting guest in or workshop: A „Two Rock - Classic Reverb Signature“. It came in with a high noise floor with sporadic „Clicks“ and „Pops“.

Actually it turned out the faults were Multi-Layered with a bad Coupling-Cap + a bad and drifted Carbon-Film resistor. On top of that we found one of the Preamp Tubes to be really noisy and unstable.

After fixing all of those issues, we have to say that this amp really sounds awesome!

Great amp, great build quality, well thought-out components.
Nice job „Two Rock“!

We can't believe Uwe Lulis. We make him his own signature amp and then he goes and steals one of our Tube WorkShop Cali Sunset amps! Well it is rather good 😀

Today we had a great hang at 42 Gear Meet at EytschPi42. Henning invited us into his garden…

What was it? A small Trade Show? A Content Creator Event? None of it it!

During an interview with Adrian from Poland Guitar Fest Henning from EytschPi42 just realised that we Guitar Players never meet „Offline“. We just meet in Online-Forums and bash our heads, but we never come together in real life. That's bad.

So Henning decided to change that and invited everyone from his community to come to his garden @ EytschPi42. Just hang-out, check some gear, do infinitive „Nerd-Talk“ and have some drinks and snacks and enjoy life together with other guitar players for an afternoon.

We should definitely do that more often. The 35 of us had such a great day!

Supply of drinks and snacks was endless, as everybody brought something... and way too much. Special thanks to Freja from Panucci Custom Guitars for making Home-Made Pizza. So Yummy!

On the way to 42 Gear Meet @ EytschPi42, Mario made a Pit-Stop at Uwe Lulis "Black Solaris Studio" and accidentally crashed the Photo-Shoot of Uwe Lulis Project. Hope that this will not be the official Band Picture! 🤣

Tube WorkShop - The Amp that doesn't exist!

Here are some photos of "the amp that doesn't officially exist".

Mario quickly threw together this combo version of the TWS Cali Sunset using old Marshall Bluesbreaker cab that he had lying around the workshop to take to the first EytschPi42 "42 Gear Meet" with Henning Pauly this weekend.

Tube WorkShop - Magic Moments

This is what happens when you put two great guitarists, Krenar Çilku and Tomáš Dvouletý in the room with some great guitars from Henry's Music along with our special TWS 2864-S and TWS SingleSix amps.

Tube WorkShop What’s on the workbench?

Today we have been invited by Juergen Kimmel from GuitArT HN to have a look at a vintage Orange OR 120 that "needs a bit of service“.

Well, we can definitely assure that this amp doesn't need a bit of service, but it needs a LOT of service!

What the heck... this amp must have been living in a barn for many years, with critters making themselves a cozy home inside.

The amp still has the all original “Mullard BVA" tube set, albeit 2 of the EL34 are definitely "dead".

The Transformers & Choke seem to be original, but they haven’t been tested for performance.
