Maple sTrak horns – made by LMH in Germany.

For those who do not want to compromise on their loudspeaker projects: real wood, precise CNC manufacturing, and a far more substantial appearance than typical plastic horns.

Ideal for high-end DIY, upgrade, and OEM projects.

Upgrade for a home cinema system – Slovakia

A customer from Slovakia asked if we could replace the plastic horns of his loudspeakers with our LMH sTrak wooden horns.

Instead of simply swapping the horns, we decided to build completely new front baffles from beech multiplex.

The result:
• CNC-machined sTrak wooden horns
• flush-mounted drivers and horns
• precisely machined front panels
• significantly improved mechanical stability
A solid foundation for a serious loudspeaker system.
Built in the LMH workshop in Germany.

Development insight from a customer build using the LMH sTrak horn

Burst decay measurement of a Bliesma M74B beryllium midrange driver mounted on the LMH sTrak 30 cm horn with 3″ throat.

The measurement was carried out by a customer and shows very clean energy decay within the intended working range of 900 Hz – 5 kHz.
In this region the horn provides stable acoustic loading and controlled behaviour without significant resonant energy storage.

Integrating large dome midrange drivers into a horn geometry is not trivial.
Results like this confirm that the sTrak profile can provide controlled and stable midrange performance even with demanding drivers.

The crossover in this project is still under development, but the builder already shared this feedback:
"The crossover isn't finished yet, but your wooden horns are something extra."
Always great to see real-world systems being built and measured.
