Geopolitical and economic disruption are reshaping global business operations. How can companies build more resilient supply chains and make better strategic decisions in uncertain times?

At the Sustainability osapiens Summit (SoS.26) in Mannheim next week, our Chief Data Scientist for Political Risk, Dr. Nicolas Schwank, will share insights into the growing impact of geopolitical developments on international business and supply chains.

Alongside this panel talk, our team will be at the MBI booth showcasing how data-driven intelligence supports more sustainable and resilient operations. From our CONIAS Risk Intelligence to global socio-economic data and our HERE Technologies distribution, we help organizations turn complex global developments into actionable insights.

We’re looking forward to connecting with you and discussing the future of resilient, data-driven decision-making.

Great to see the geospatial community come together again at the CARTO Spatial Data Science Conference in London last week! Our Managing Director Ray Roberts-York had a fantastic time reconnecting with our long-standing partner CARTO and catching up with the team, especially Javier Pérez Trufero.

A personal highlight: The evening before the conference, CARTO hosted a brilliant city tour around London and, in a very unexpected moment, we even happened to bump into King Charles as he was leaving Buckingham Palace.

Big thanks to the CARTO team for the warm hospitality and for organizing another excellent SDSC event! Looking forward to continuing the partnership and the conversations sparked throughout the conference.

Our Managing Director, Ray Roberts-York, had the pleasure of representing MBI at the Esri UK Annual Conference in London yesterday. The event brought together GIS professionals, innovators and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements in geospatial technology, digital transformation and location intelligence.

A highlight of the day was connecting with our valued partners Warren Vick and Duncan Hill from Europa Technologies. Events like the Esri UK AC are always a fantastic opportunity to connect in person and exchange ideas across the geospatial community.

The global risk landscape isn’t shifting evenly – it’s concentrating. Our latest Q1 2026 CONIAS Risk Intelligence update reveals a world where conflict dynamics are becoming more interconnected, more regionalized, and in some cases, more unpredictable:

💡 Conflicts are not escalating evenly across the globe in Q1 2026, they are concentrating in a few strategic regions.
💡 Spillover dynamics are increasingly linking conflicts in Iran, Iraq, Israel and Lebanon.
💡 Africa remains the global center of sustained high-intensity violence.
💡 Latin America appears relatively stable – but Haiti shows how quickly criminal violence can become a systemic crisis.
💡 In Asia, conflict risks are increasingly shaped by overlapping security flashpoints, from Myanmar to the South China Sea.
💡 Europe remains comparatively stable despite continued tensions around the war in Ukraine.

With our CONIAS political conflict data, we track conflict intensity subnationally, consistently and on a quarterly basis. This allows for a more precise understanding of where risk actually impacts operations.

Mixed fleets aren’t the future anymore. They’re already here, and most fleet strategies haven’t caught up.

As fleets transition toward electrification, managing operations is becoming increasingly complex. With electric and conventional vehicles now operating side by side, traditional planning approaches are no longer sufficient.

HERE Technologies’ latest article explores why mixed fleets are quickly becoming the standard, the challenges they introduce, and how advanced, data-driven solutions are helping fleet operators optimize routing, improve efficiency, and adapt to a rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

As increasing numbers of commercial electric vehicles (EVs) hit the road alongside conventional vehicles, fleet planning is becoming significantly more complex.

Today, on the Supply Chain Day 2026, it becomes clear just how essential logistics is to our economy and everyday lives. Often invisible, it is the backbone of our daily routines, from the availability of food in supermarkets to the delivery of packages at our doorstep.

Logistics works like a domino effect. When one element in the supply chain fails, the impact is felt immediately. This makes it all the more important to rely on companies and technologies that continuously work to make logistics safer, more efficient, and more transparent. Both physically and digitally.

Together with our location technology partner HERE Technologies, we support logistics companies with solutions such as truck routing and tour optimization – helping to manage complex supply chains in a smarter and more resilient way.

The Supply Chain Day is a great opportunity to explore the technologies shaping modern supply chains, making them more efficient, resilient, and future-ready. At the same time, it is the perfect occasion to celebrate and thank the partners who contribute their expertise and innovation to these solutions.

Global location intelligence just got a major upgrade! We’re excited to announce the release of MBI Global Boundaries 2026.

With coverage across 248 countries and access to 2,000+ geographic levels, this latest release brings a new level of precision to global analysis. From administrative units to postcode and microgeographic structures, organizations can now explore markets with unprecedented depth.

What truly sets our Global Boundaries apart is their standardized, gap-free, and harmonized structure, combined with 1:1 compatibility with MBI Global Market Data. This means no complex data matching, just analysis-ready insights.

As our Managing Director Ray Roberts-York puts it: “Most organizations underestimate how much poor geographic data limits their analysis. What we provide is a consistent, high-resolution framework that removes that limitation.”
