LUBIS EDA is heading into year 6: motivated, focused, and excited 🎄

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who has worked with us, challenged us, or supported us.
We wish you a wonderful Christmas season, peaceful days with your loved ones, and a healthy and inspiring start into the new year. 🎆

What comes next❓
The stakes in our industry are higher than ever. Compute is the bottleneck. Not ideas. Not talent. Compute. And every major innovation in the coming decade depends on chips that deliver more performance with less power, much faster than before.

To support that future, verification needs a fundamental shift. The old craft cannot scale to what is now required. The only way to meet future verification demand is to rethink how formal verification is done. Expertise that sits in people’s heads must become systems that teams can rely on. Knowledge into executable workflows is no longer optional; it is the path forward.

This is the work we continue in year six. In 3–4 years, all engineering work will change. Formal verification will move from artisanal craft to governed system. Our goal is to help define how that work gets done. Not speeding up the old way but creating the new one.

Breakfast, dinner, bowling and a little Christmas magic ❄️ 🎄 🎁

Our team wrapped up the year with a day together.

We started the morning with a big breakfast in the office, full of conversation and good energy. We were enjoying the chance to slow down before the holiday break.

In the evening we headed to a restaurant for dinner. This was the moment everyone had been waiting for because it was time for Secret Santa 🎅 It was a great mix of thoughtful and funny surprises.

We ended the day at the bowling alley 🎳

Five years of LUBIS EDA and what a celebration 🎉

Our company, family and friends came together to mark a milestone:
5 years of LUBIS EDA and redefining formal verification

And we celebrated in LUBIS EDA style at Kaiserslautern’s iconic Fritz-Walter Stadium on the Betze, home of our 1. FCK. ⚽️

The evening began with a champagne reception and appetizers, followed by a special speech from our CEO, Dr. Tobias Ludwig.
He took us on a journey from “day one LUBIS EDA” to today, filled with stories, good jokes, and we had a few good laughs. A great speech. We also held the award ceremony for our LUBIS EDA Walking Tournament, which ran from January to September, celebrating the colleagues who truly went the extra mile. 😀 👟

We then split into groups for a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, including exclusive access right down to the edge of the pitch and into the legendary fan Westkurve. A surreal moment for every football and Betze fan.

After the tour, we enjoyed a Mediterranean buffet, and of course…
No LUBIS EDA celebration is complete without our classics:
✅ Kicker table
✅ Mario Kart battles 🎮

And to close out the night, the sky above the stadium lit up with a firework show, the perfect finale for an unforgettable anniversary.

Crepes, Mario Kart, and table kicker 🥞🎮⚽
Our August team event served up crepes and a Mario Kart and table kicker tournament.

Who took home the Mario Kart crown? Let’s just say blue shells were flying, but they couldn't stop our Mario Kart champion Osama.

Who ruled the kicker table? Quick reflexes made the difference. Table kicker duo: Tobias & Madi.

And the crepes? Gone faster than any kart on Rainbow Road.

Most of our teams escaped… eventually.

For our last month team event, the LUBIS EDA crew swapped code for codes (the secret kind) for an escape room challenge.
Multiple rooms, cryptic clues, and a countdown clock that felt tighter than a project deadline.

Yes, most teams made it out in time (we’ll skip the leaderboard details😄)

Afterwards? Pizza at the office and plenty of laughs over “creative” solutions that probably wouldn’t pass code review.

Some company traditions are just too good to skip. What are yours? 🔥

Once a month, the entire LUBIS EDA team steps away from debugging and into something equally important: spending time together at our monthly team event.

This week’s edition? BBQ, outdoor games, and cold drinks to beat the summer heat. 🌞🥩🥤These small rituals bring us closer — and they’re a lot of fun. Teamwork really does make the dream work.

Big thanks to everyone who organized, grilled, played, and laughed. We’re already looking forward to next month’s adventure!

Rain couldn’t stop us 🌧️ . Just the finish line 🏁 .

Some of our team laced up and took part in the local company run here in Kaiserslautern — the city we proudly call home.

Despite the rain, the atmosphere was full of energy. The audience applauded, even from the balconies and windows.
Everyone crossed the finish line with a smile, and the weather couldn’t dampen the team spirit

Flat course, strong legs, and lots of laughs along the way.
The verdict? “Let’s do it again next year.” 🏃‍♀️

Can playing games actually sharpen your focus?

In the startup world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The constant pressure to perform, to innovate... it’s exhausting!
But here’s a thought: what if taking a break to play board games could actually improve your concentration? 🎯

When things get chaotic, we tend to lose focus. But simple board games like puzzles, chess, or even memory games, can train your brain to sharpen that focus.

They’re quick and effective tools that boost concentration and, in turn, productivity.

So, next time you feel scattered, will you pause for a quick game to reset your mind?

At Treffpunkt KL at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, we had the chance to meet the next generation of engineers, thinkers, and builders — and we left inspired.

As a company founded here in Kaiserslautern, we’ve always believed that world-class talent doesn’t just come from Silicon Valley or other global hubs — it grows in places like RPTU.

To everyone who stopped by: thank you for your time, your questions, and your energy. We hope to see many of you again — not just as visitors, but as part of the LUBIS EDA journey.

A big thank-you as well to Treffpunktmesse and the University of Kaiserslautern for giving us the opportunity to meet so many people full of curiosity, ambition, and energy right here on our doorstep. It’s a privilege to offer job opportunities to these students, whether through internships, student jobs, or thesis projects. We’re excited to continuing open the doors and build bridges between university and industry. 👏

DVCon US 2025 was an incredible deep dive into the latest advancements in design & verification! As a highly focused event tailored for Design & Verification professionals, Dr. Max Birtel, Luis Alfonso Rivas Rivas and me had engaging and in-depth discussions with industry leaders on:

- Future of RISC-V & IP Verification
