Welcome to the TUHH Institute of Entrepreneurship (TIE)! The Institute was inaugurated in June 2014 and is headed by Prof. Christoph Ihl. We are a group of Startup Engineers, who are dedicated to three goals:
1) We strive to conduct relevant research in the area of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship (TIE) and publish the results in leading international journals. As data enthusiasts, we
love to apply state-of-art computational and econometric methods to novel, large-scale data sets.
2) We are convinced that entrepreneurship can be learned to a significant degree and that good training increases the odds of entrepreneurial success. To that end, our teaching is project-based and problem-oriented so that students can gain first-hand, real-life experience that inspires and enables them to become the next generation of startup engineers.
3) We are open to collaborate with corporates, startups and associations to transfer our knowledge about Startup Engineering research and practice. Possible modes of collaboration are master theses, applied research, consulting, talks, workshops, trainings or events.
