If you had one hour with one of Europe’s most respected capital strategists, what would you ask?
We had that opportunity on Wednesday.
The INKUBIT team welcomed Philipp Vorndran, Capital Strategist at Flossbach von Storch, for a special edition of our 7 Circles of Growth series.
The discussion covered long-term investing, compound interest, investor psychology, AI, productivity, and the economic forces shaping the future.
The session offered plenty of practical insights, but one stood out:
➡️ The power of compounding only works if you give it time.
Philipp shared a perspective that challenged one of the most common investor behaviors. Taking profits too early is often one of the biggest killers of compounding. The real challenge isn’t finding a good strategy. It’s staying committed to it long enough for it to work.
One memorable analogy shared during the discussion was:
🌊 Sink your phone into the sea and don’t find it again until your investment horizon ends.
A humorous reminder that patience and consistency often outperform constant action.
Beyond investing, the conversation touched on AI, productivity gains, technological transformation, and the long-term impact these developments may have on industries and economies.
What made the session especially valuable was the engagement. The live Q&A sparked thoughtful discussions, practical questions, and genuine curiosity across the team.
A sincere thank you to Philipp Vorndran for sharing his expertise and perspective so openly.
And thank you to everyone who helped make the session possible. As Till Vieregge said afterwards, he was “happy and a little bit proud” to bring a speaker of this caliber to INKUBIT.
We share that feeling!
If you had the chance to ask Philipp one question about investing, markets, AI, or the next decade, what would it be?
