How do soccer and software fit together? Our COO Rafael combines both passions excellently in his everyday life. ⚽
Having moved to Bremen he naturally became a Werder fan and has also made soccer his hobby. He currently plays in the Ü40 team of FC Huchting. 🏃
But not only that, he is also one of the coaches of his youngest son's team, which means that he can be spotted relatively often on soccer fields.
After completing his degree in computer science in Bremen, he first looked for a (temporary) first job to start his career and found it at Ascora.
However, it quickly became clear that the first entry-level job would turn into something more long-term, as he already enjoyed developing the end customer programs as well as working on research projects. 🤩
In addition, the special working atmosphere with flat hierarchies, where you try to build something together instead of trying to distinguish yourself somehow in order to get to the top, was a bonus. So it is now 12 years in which he has passed through the most diverse positions from developer, team leader, product owner to COO.🎉
All this always with the goal of remaining a buddy type.
