Android fragmentation
Android 7 continues to be the most prevalent, followed by Android 6 and 8.x. However, that will change in the next few months. For example, in May Android 8.x had a market share of 15.77%, in June it is already almost 19%!
By contrast, Android 4.x hardly plays any role anymore. The current market share of 3% is continuously decreasing.

Most successful smartphone manufacturer (Android)
The most successful Android smartphone manufacturer is still Samsung - with a market share of about 40%. However, Samsung's market share is steadily declining. A year ago, he was still just under 50%.
The two Chinese manufacturers XIAOMI and HUAWEI are currently in second and third place with 10.5% and 9.5%, respectively.

Android 7 most popular Android version
In December 2017, Android 7 is the first widespread Android version. The version comes to 29: 31% market share. In November it will wait 26.42%.
The second place is now Android version 6.x with 27.6%.

Android fragmentation: Android 7 most popular Android version
For the first time, Android 7.x is the most widely used operating system. Adding 7.0 and 7.1 leads to 32.27% market share. So far Android 6 was the most used. However, on October 11, 2017 only 30.1%.
