Hello!
yeeees, that list isn't that long for two month. I did not managed to put that much time into the game. But therefor the updates are very profound. So I want to go into detail for two of them.

The adjustable flight speed took me really some time by implementing. Before doing so I was only able to stop flying. This action was some kind of hard coded and therefore very unhandy. I had to dig very deep changing it to some kind of video player with play, stop, play again and fast forward. But yes, now I can!

The second one is much more game mechanic related. By now you can continue fighting after death by spending one of your very rare lifes. Dying just in front of the finish line often happened. I like challenging games and i want SM to be some. But I also want it to be entertaining. Thats why I provide the possibility to use an extra life at important moments.
But if you disagree with this let me know. (You can just raise the difficulty and they are gone! ;)

The April

Hello everyone, this time I will skip the monthly update. I was only able to work such a few times on SM that nothing really happened. Also the times I did the updates did not worked out that well. The good thing is, I had to rework some parts which grant me nice features. E.g. I now have play speed controlls at anytime.

Updates of march

+The fire rate multiplicator now only drops when the player got damaged
+Each multiplicator can also be spend as energy shockwave blasting away everything on screen. (Awesome!)
+New enemy "drone carrier" which drops different types of drones.
+New Turret with slow ability.
+On top of changing the shooting angle you now can spread the different gun points like spreading the fingers off your hand.
+Optimized assets spawning algorithm. Will continue on that.
+Started asset LOD work
+New special "Laser pointer"
+New bunch of ship components (shield, engine, etc..)
+Added some AI to the enemy behavior
+Reworked some stupid parts of the UI coding
+Tweaked the snow level

Since the last update I've added allot of gameplay elements. Step by step STARMETAL now becomes more complex and reveals it's variety of choices you can make. By setting up your ship and while flying a mission. It was a good choice to focus an that.

The features of STARMETAL are not planed in depth. Means, i spend allot of time by play the game myself and plan the next features.

This workflow works well. So, hopefully i have enough time to continue the work on STARMETAL that successfully like in march.

Good things first, I'm working on STARMETAL again. :)After some weeks off i realized that I still want to make this game...

Good things first, I'm working on STARMETAL again. :)

After some weeks off i realized that I still want to make this game, play this game. The "bad" news, i cannot work fulltime on it anymore. Even halftime will not be possible. So, i barely can say when SM is released. But..

I had some nice progress during the last days. The March update is coming soon!

Maybe you already read it, but, yes, my Kickstarter campaign for STARMETAL failed. Sadly I knew it by the first day of the campaign. It was definitely the wrong moment to go public with this game. But, I had to .It was a larger project then I had imagined. And after working 6 month full time on it I was forced into earning some money again. Unfortunately not by selling this game. Not in this stage.

To be honest, I'm currently not working on STARMETAL.
