🌀 From the Gulf of Mexico to Iceland: Isaias is back!

The remnants of Hurricane Isaias, the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season, have evolved into a powerful extratropical cyclone. The storm has now reached Iceland, bringing hurricane-force gusts of up to 200 km/h. 🇮🇸💨

Our satellite animation shows the impressive cloud spiral around Iceland, with Scandinavia in view on the right. This visualisation was created with TriVis Weather Graphix, directly from EUMETSAT satellite data and on a high-resolution background map. With TriVis, weather services and media can produce animations like this one, plus complete social media posts, quickly and automatically.

🎉 25 Years of Contributing to NinJo

In 2001, ASK began contributing to NinJo, an ambitious international project that has grown into an essential meteorological workstation for weather services in Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, and Canada, as well as the German Armed Forces' geoinformation service.

Today, our work spans 2D and 3D graphics rendering, aviation visualization, map projections, weather data visualization, and automated testing.

We're proud to have been part of this long-standing collaboration and look forward to contributing to NinJo's continued modernization.
