A Virtual Tour of a Digital Workplace

With over 11000 employees and revenues more than 5 billion EUR the Bechtle AG is the largest IT system house in Germany. Besides IT services, IT maintenance and the direct sale of IT hardware, Bechtle is offering consultancy and trainings to their industrial and public clients. A very important part of Bechtle’s own digitalization strategy are some showrooms, called Digital Workplaces, where clients can experience the whole range of their portfolio. In Karlsruhe it is the heart of the system house and in the last months the Digital Workplace was little visited due to the current situation.

The wish: Bringing the Digital Workplace to the customer when the customer cannot be on site.

The solution: With the Virtual Reality Suite from present4D it was possible
for Bechtle to easily create a 360° virtual tour. Using a VR glass or a smart device the customers can visit the rooms in Karlsruhe from any place of the world and are able to interact with the content and products provided by the marketing and communication department.

present4D at the Virtual Fireside event of the Healthcare Shapers network

Advancing the healthcare industry: What skills and forms of collaboration are required in the digital market environment? This will be the topic during a virtual fireside event on June 24th.

The healthcare and medtech industry is facing major challenges worldwide. Solutions will be discussed with interdisciplinary experts from university and industry during a virtual fireside video chat hosted by the Healthcare Shapers and the hopin platform.

At a virtual booth, present4D will present the diversity and uniqueness of virtual reality applications in the healthcare sector. The platform opens the doors at 17:00. The program starts on stage at 17:30. After chat and hot seats (both on German), conversations and small chat groups can continue at 18:30 at the virtual exhibition.

Virtual Reality in Health Care, in Charity Institution and in Medicine was the topic of an inspiring presentation given by Dr. Michael Gerards during the Health 4.0 conference in Cologne. Many use cases from all over the world have shown the big impact and benefits of that fascinating innovative technology.

Examples from Bethel and the PIKSL-Labs, which are very active in digital participation projects (Digitale Teilhabe) for people with or without handicaps, have proven not only efficiency in learning but also strength of teamwork and collaboration with VR. present4D is proud to contribute their Virtual Reality expertise to the social community and to the health systems and wishes all their clients and friends a healthy Christmas time and a happy New Year.
