🌞 What a Demo Day to remember in Cologne! 🌞
After the rain, the sun came out—literally and figuratively. Last Thursday, the ReDI School NRW community came together at STARTPLATZ Cologne to celebrate the progress and potential of our learners.

We kicked off with an inspiring panel discussion featuring Kristin Ehrlich (Henkel) and Mohammed-Reza Mosavi (Accenture), who shared practical and powerful insights on navigating job applications and interviews in Germany as a newcomer. 🗝️ Their key advice? . .
The spotlight then turned to our amazing alumni Gulnigor Tilloeva and Jenny Ngan Chu, who shared how ReDI School supported their journeys into tech careers. Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated volunteer teachers Mahya Sadaghiani and Kateryna Herasymova — your passion drives so much of what we do.
Four student groups took the stage to present their semester projects with pride:

We also hosted a hands-on “ 🩺 CV Clinic” with Claudia Betcke and Kristin Ehrlich, giving learners practical feedback on their resumes and work samples. It was a joy to gather our vibrant community once again.

In der letzten Woche fand der diesjährige Demo Day unseres Kinder-und Jugendprogramms mit Teilnehmenden aus Bildung, Politik und Wirtschaft an der Regenbogenschule in Duisburg-Marxloh statt🚀. Unter dem Motto: ReDI für Cybersicherheit - von Anfang an sicher, präsentierten unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler aus den fünf Marxloher Schulen stolz die Projekte des Schuljahres 2024/2025.

Auf der Bühne begeisterten die Schülerinnen und Schülern die Gäste mit einem selbst verfassten Gedicht und einen eigens für den Tag inszenierten Theaterstück zum Thema Cybersicherheit.
Anschließend diskutierten in einer lebendigen Podiumsdiskussion neben unserem Duisburger Oberbürgermeister, Sören Link und dem Vorsitzenden des Vorstands, Klöckner & Co SE, Guido Kerkhoff die Schulleitungen und Lehrkräften aus Duisburg-Marxloh zum Tagesthema.

Auf dem Schulhof warteten liebevoll gestaltete Projektstände darauf, entdeckt zu werden. Unsere rasenden Reporter waren mittendrin und stellten Fragen an Groß und Klein. Danke an alle Teilnehmenden! Gemeinsam machen wir die nächste Generation fit für eine sichere digitale Welt!

In den Osterferien sammelten 24 begeisterte Kinde im Alter von 6 bis 13 Jahren, spannende und kreative Erfahrungen im Bereich Technik, Programmierung und Medien. Das bunte Programm fand am Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium in Duisburg Marxloh statt und war vollgepackt mit abwechslungsreichen Aktivitäten an verschiedenen Stationen.
So wurden unter anderem:
✨ Makey Makey Controller programmiert und eigene interaktive Projekte erstellt.
🎮 In der Minecraft-Station Welten gebaut und ein Schatz versteckt, der von den anderen Kindern gefunden werden musste.
🎥kleine Stop-Motion-Filme produziert.
🤖 Bee-Bots und Ozobots programmiert, um spannende Labyrinthe zu meistern und erste Coding-Erfahrungen zu sammeln.

Es war beeindruckend zu sehen, wie viel die Kinder in kurzer Zeit gelernt haben und mit welcher Begeisterung sie dabei waren.

✨ Wrapping up 2024 in the amazing ReDI School NRW community!

This year’s Demo Day Fall 2024 was unforgettable! Learners and teachers from our UX/UI Design Intermediate, React, Digital Literacy, and Digital Marketing classes proudly showcased their semester projects to an inspired audience.

The day kicked off with an insightful panel discussion featuring Preethi Rajasekar and Payam Mohajeri from Accenture, where we explored how to navigate entry-level IT careers in Germany. Their advice was invaluable, especially for those starting fresh in a new country.

We also celebrated the inspiring success stories of Diana Zaidan and Saad Ali, who both landed jobs after joining ReDI School NRW—proof that dedication and community support make all the difference!

Our incredible volunteer teachers, Emmanuela Kapenda and Maxine Campbell, shared their passion for teaching and the joy of helping learners grow.

All the speakers reminded us that everyone on this journey has overcome challenges—learning new technical and language skills, sending countless applications, and mastering the art of networking.

At ReDI School, we’re proud to not only teach hard and soft skills but also foster a vibrant, supportive community. Seeing the happy, proud faces in the room is the best reward!

🚀 Hands-On Learning in Digital Marketing at ReDI NRW!

On Wednesday, November 20th, students from the Digital Women Program participated in an insightful Digital Marketing Workshop led by Luisa Contini Nemmert from Accenture Software for HCM. 💪

Joining Luisa were her colleagues Heiko Mouhlen, Global Lead Sales and Marketing, and Venky Seshadri, Regional Sales Lead for EMEA, Africa, and Latin America. Together, they shared their expertise and real-world experiences, providing our students with valuable insights into go-to-market strategies and digital marketing practices in collaboration with SAP.

The interactive session encouraged students to brainstorm ideas, ask questions, and engage directly with industry professionals. From social media campaigns to hybrid events, participants explored practical applications of digital marketing concepts.

A big thank you to Luisa, Heiko, and Venky for inspiring the next generation of digital talent! 🌟

🌟 Düsseldorf came alive with Office Olympics! 🌟

Last Friday, November 15th, we hosted a vibrant Community Event for students and teachers from the Digital Women Program and Digital Career Program. The theme? Office Olympics! 🏅

With gold medals in hand, plenty of laughter, and shared moments of teamwork, this event brought us together in the best way possible. It wasn’t just about games—it was about connection, community, and celebrating the incredible people that make up ReDI.

Events like this remind us of the power of coming together to build relationships, inspire one another, and create a sense of belonging beyond the classroom. 💬

Thank you to everyone who made this day so memorable. Your energy lights up our community, and together, we’re shaping a future where learning is more than just education—it’s connection.

🎉 We had an amazing time kicking off the Fall 2024 semester at ReDI School NRW! Our Digital Career Program (DCP) and Digital Women Program (DWP) students, team, and volunteer teachers came together on October 11th for a day filled with ice breakers, knowledge-packed activities, snacks, and a pizza dinner to wrap things up! 🍕

This semester, we’re proud to have 203 students in the DCP and 105+ in the DWP, supported by over 100 volunteer teachers (our heroes!) across 19 courses. Let’s make this semester one to remember! 🚀
