Der Ortsname „Berlin“ ist auch in Bolivien öfters zu finden – und sie könnten unterschiedlicher kaum sein:
• Centro Berlín (Departamento Oruro) liegt im Anden-Hochland auf fast 3.800 Metern Höhe. Besonders bekannt für die Vielfalt an Kartoffelsorten.
• Berlín (Departamentos Pando, Beni und La Paz) umfasst mehrere kleine Siedlungen im Amazonas-Gebiet, die historisch mit der Kautschuk- und Paranusswirtschaft verbunden sind. Hier kommt auch der Begriff „Barraca Berlín“ vor: Ein traditioneller Sammel- und Arbeitsstandort.
• Berlín, Estancia Berlín und Estancia Retiro Berlín (Departamento Santa Cruz) liegen im Tiefland. Dabei ist Berlin nicht immer ein Dorf, sondern manchmal nur ein Landgut oder eine Farm.
Warum diese Orte so heißen, ist bis heute nicht eindeutig belegt. Mögliche Ursprünge reichen von europäischen Einwanderern und Siedlern bis hin zu kolonialen Namensgebungen.

• Centro Berlín (Departamento Oruro) is located in the Andean highlands at an elevation of nearly 3,800 meters. It is particularly known for its variety of potato cultivars.
• Berlín (Departamentos Pando, Beni and La Paz) comprises several small settlements in the Amazon region that are historically linked to the rubber and Brazil nut industries. The term “Barraca Berlín” is also used here: a traditional gathering and work site.
• Berlín, Estancia Berlín, and Estancia Retiro Berlín (Departamento Santa Cruz) are located in the lowlands. In this context, “Berlín” does not always refer to a village, sometimes simply to an estate or a farm.
