Most digitalisation projects don't fail inside the ERP system. They fail at the edges.
A recent industry survey put the limited digital maturity of partners, meaning suppliers and freight forwarders, at the top of the list of obstacles in logistics. Missing standards and integrations followed close behind, named by 43% of respondents.
The industry's standard answer to this is the suite. One vendor, one system, everything from a single source. It sounds like the problem disappears. It doesn't. It moves.
No supply chain ends at the company boundary. A company can map every internal process inside one system and still face the question of how its supplier in Bangladesh, its forwarder in Rotterdam and its customs provider feed in their data. And once everything runs through a single vendor, every new requirement waits on that vendor's roadmap.
We chose the other route: a strong collaborative core, and open integrations with specialists around it. That is what our partner network is actually for.
