INSIDE THE PLATFORM: NOMOS Glashütte
The latest relaunch of included a full replatform to Shopware 6 and the introduction of Craft CMS as a headless content layer. Craft replaced a long-standing custom CMS and now provides a more robust foundation for structured content and ongoing development.
Beyond commerce and content, the platform integrates several key systems that form NOMOS’ digital backbone. Central among them is the NOMOS Stammbuch—a digital family book where owners can register their watches using reference and movement numbers. The Stammbuch connects ownership, warranty information, and a watch’s individual history, and plays an important role across customer service and after-sales processes. Alongside this, the architecture includes a Product Information Management (PIM) system and a custom logistics tool handling fulfillment and shipping. As part of the relaunch, interfaces and internal flows between these systems were refined and strengthened.
More than ever, Figma played a central role in the project, allowing design and system thinking to happen in parallel. Its extensive toolkit supported the development of a comprehensive design system and detailed CMS component modeling. By defining variables and component logic early, key aspects of the technical architecture were clarified during the design phase and carried through into implementation.
