Another day, another exploit: SQL injection attacks like this one usually target login credentials in the database. With Opin, those values would be very boring to look at: the password column would be empty.

Login details from 1.6 million accounts at Nasa, the FBI and Interpol have been posted on the web by hacktivist group Ghost Shell.

So today we want to share a slide from one of our investor decks with you. It illustrates one of the many basic flaws with passwords: no matter what you try to make them safe, real people will find a way to make it easy instead.

This password satisfies the default security policy in Windows, so it's no surprise that it's a popular pick among many users. (Even some people we presented to had this guilty expression on their faces when the slide came up, fun moment!)

Microsoft has some interesting data on how people deal with passwords in an environment that just keeps on requiring more and more of them. It's a very interesting read:
