Kolibri Games is thrilled to welcome Franko Mucaj as our new Controller.

KG: What was your main motivation for joining Kolibri Games?
The possibility to work for a company that I consider a game changer regarding the idle games. It is well known that Kolibri sets the trends for idle by following its mission of reinventing idle. Moreover, the culture and the people working at Kolibri are very welcoming, kind and helpful at all times.

KG: How would you characterize your first days at the company?
My first week was a bit unusual as I joined the company during KoliDays. Being a new employee is not easy at all times but my colleagues at Kolibri made that possible and I felt that I had been working for the company for years. Then I went to the office and immediately noticed how motivated everyone was for working towards the mission of Kolibri.

KG: What do you hope to accomplish at Kolibri Games?
As any other employee at Kolibri: help to reinvent idle. I want to learn a lot, apply that knowledge in practice in order to support the company‘ s growth in the years to come.

Earlier this week we hosted another Vostel event at our offices, where we learned more about some of the homelessness issues here in Berlin and ways individuals can help. And then we made a lot of sandwiches! After two hours of work we had 200 sandwiches ready to be delivered to two local organisations serving the homeless population.
Thank you to Vostel for continuing to be help us serve our community, and we're already looking forward to our next event.

KG: What was your main motivation for joining Kolibri Games?
I've been working in the games industry for 12 years now and, even though I worked on many different genres, I never got the opportunity to work on my favourite one - Idle!

KG: How would you characterize your first days at the company?
After 2 years of Corona and working from home, I couldn't be happier to meet such a wonderful group of people working on their passion for games! The office is also very charming and warm.

KG: What do you hope to accomplish at Kolibri Games?
I hope to help create one of the strongest Design teams in our industry, as well as help find our next big hit. Also, I need to take back my title of kicker champion!

Six years and multiple releases from our first MVP launch of Idle Miner Tycoon way back in 2016, we're thrilled to announce that we've surpassed a quarter of a billion downloads across our entire product portfolio!

It's been a wild ride, one full of exciting games, and great teams behind the scenes that made them each a hit in their own right!

Thank you to all the Kolibris over the years who made this achievement possible, and thank you to the millions of players around the world who enjoy our titles. There's much more still to come!

KG: What was your main motivation for joining Kolibri Games?
Kolibri Games managed to create an industry standard with Idle Miner Tycoon and I am confident that the company is going in the right direction to repeat this feat.

KG: How would you characterize your first days at the company?
My first days were very much like a good idle game First Time User Experience: already fun and at the same time I could already experience the depth of my future missions!

KG: What do you hope to accomplish at Kolibri Games?
I hope to become the perfect support of all of my amazing colleagues to get the data and insights they need to fulfil their missions. Oh and also Kolibri Games offers a great work-life balance environment which allows me to train seriously for next year's Paris marathon!

KG: What was your main motivation for joining Kolibri Games?
After several years in the game development industry, I was seeking out a company comprised of talented individuals and a place I could be comfortable being myself. After researching Kolibri Games and reading through the blogs, I knew that Kolibri Games was one of the best places I could work for as a Unity Developer!

KG: How would you describe your first weeks at the company?
I had never worked for a full English speaking company before, so it was exciting! I was assigned the simple tasks to help ease me into the codebase. I was also delighted to see that my co-developers are invested in keeping the codebase clean and healthy.

KG: What do you hope to accomplish while you’re here?
Game development has never been "just a job" for me, working on a live title is already very fulfilling and makes me feel accomplished! I hope to refine my skills as I work here and be a valuable employee of Kolibri Games as we make major advancements in the idle genre.

Here at Kolibri Games, we call ourselves "Kolibris". Kolibri is the German word for "hummingbird", known worldwide for being fast, agile, and VERY hungry.

We work hard every day to embody the first two traits, which leaves us feeling, you guessed it, VERY hungry. Thankfully we have a bunch of team members who like to bring in fresh baked cakes and cookies to keep our productivity - and our team spirits - high.

I see this opportunity as a way to contribute to a fast-moving company in the game industry and grow together. KG: How would you describe your first weeks at the company?
It was amazing! Starting from day one, I learned more about the company, culture and my tasks. The best part was joining the “Kolidays”. I met so many people and had lots of fun. I felt very welcomed, and all my colleagues are very friendly.
