When we launched Katla, our voice-rotating polyphonic synthesizer born from the volcanic heart of Iceland, we hoped it would find its people. What we didn’t expect was for every single unit to find a home within the first month.

That kind of response means the world to us. Every pre-order placed, every message of excitement, every share and kind word, thank you. It tells us that what we set out to built resonates, and that is everything to a small team like ours.

Because of your support, we are releasing a second batch of 100 units.

Orders are open now on our website, after sharing the news with our Katla wishlist subscribers, less than 80 units remain.
Thank you for your patience and your passion. We can’t wait to get Katla into your hands.

With gratitude, The Genki Instruments Team Reykjavik, Iceland

Berlin, we’re coming. 🇮🇸

Katla will be showcased at Superbooth 2026 taking place from the 7th to the 9th of May, as part of the Little Reykjavík Showcase — bringing a piece of Reykjavík’s experimental music scene to Berlin alongside fellow Icelandic creators and sonic explorers.

Come by for free coffee, hands-on sessions, and a first look at an exciting new MPE feature we’ve been quietly working on.

See you at SUPERBOOTH26. 🌋☕️
