Tomorrow we're kicking off our partnership with the interfilm Berlin, the International Short Film Festival Berlin. Just as last year, Sooner is the main sponsor for the 2021 37th edition of one of the most internationally renowned short film festivals. The festival starts on the 16th, but as a precursor - and appetizer - the EYES WIDE OPEN competition starts tomorrow. User can vote and pick the film that will win a 2.000 EUR cash prize from the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.

Excited to announce our upcoming cooperation with the Berlin Music Commission's event 'Most Wanted: Music – Berlin’s hybrid music business conference'. Today Sooner will host the German premiere of James Schneider's music documentary PUNK THE CAPITAL on the early punk scene in Washington DC with the director present for Q&A. And we will kick off a MW:M channel with a curated music documentary selection. Meet us on the 27th at Berlin event space Kulturbrauerei for a chat and/or drink.

'Viele Modelle, wenig Knete' betitelte die AG Dokumentarfilm am 29.10. bei DOK Leipzig ihre Veranstaltung zu den Chancen von Dokumentarfilmen im VoD-Markt. Glad to see our partner docfilm42 is now live! docfilm42 was founded by documentary filmmakers to create a platform for independently produced documentaries. The platform links information about documentaries with communities, creating a hub between different actors (filmmakers, audiences, organisations, streaming platforms, initiatives, etc.).

EYZ attended the Magnetic Latvia 2019 conference in Riga, and talked Cineuropa about Eurovod - the network of European independent VoD platforms and perspectives for a trans-European VoD-service.

Am 7. November 2019 fand der WDR mediagroup "VoD-LabelDay" in Köln statt. Eingeladen waren u. a. die bestehenden Lizenzgeber Icestorm, Pidax, Nipponart, Bavaria Media und Donau Film sowie weitere Branchenkollegen und VoD-Plattformen. Zunächst wurden die Teilnehmer über Trends und neue Umsatz-Potentiale im VoD-Markt informiert. Nach einem Vortrag von press9 über technische Herausforderungen in der VoD-Distribution gab EYZ-media-CEO Andreas Wildfang einen exklusiven Ausblick über die Pläne und den Content-Bedarf seiner neuen Plattform. Der Abend endete bei einem Live-Konzert der Band Juli in der Düsseldorfer Nachtresidenz.
