Today is World Migrant Day, a time to recognize and honor the resilience and strength of migrants around the world. In particular, I want to focus on the many migrants from Africa who have faced significant challenges and adversity in their journey.

Despite facing significant economic, political, and social barriers, African migrants have shown incredible determination and resilience in their pursuit of a better life. Whether they are seeking work, education, or simply a safer and more secure environment, their journey is a testament to the human spirit.

On this World Migrant Day, let us honor the contributions and sacrifices of African migrants and commit to building a world that is more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive of their needs. Whether through policy reform, social advocacy, or simply offering a helping hand, we can all play a role in creating a more equitable and just society for all.

In the session, our Pre-tech ladies got to know Control flow statements in dart to help make logical decisions in apps. It also discusses the various control flow statement found in dart.
That is;
If and else
for loops
while and do-while loops
break and continue
switch and case

Dart like any other programming language supports the _if statement_ with _optional else_ . This statement helps to redirect flow based on the truthfulness of a condition.

They were also taught how dart code extends vs coding with the support of programming languages; which serve as tools for effective editing, refactoring, running, and reloading flutter mobile apps.

Job fair
Afrolynk, SEHub and Icode with their partners bring to you the Takoradi Digital Jobs Fair which commenced yesterday at the Takoradi Library.

We started the program with an introduction from the MC and a word of prayer from our Quest Reverend.

Later, it was time for hubs to tell a brief about their company's and the trainings they have and the benefits associated to each program happening at each hub.

Mr. Edward Ackah Blay represented Afrolynk and the other representatives from SEHub and Icode Gh did same by briefing everyone about what each hub stands for.

Trainees were introduced to building of mobile applications and creation of layouts through the use of Flutter Development with the downloads and installation of an editor, flutter SDK,and Android studio.

This will help them take control of their codebase and provide them with everything they need to produce quality Mobile apps.

Yesterday, we hosted the team from Ghana Tech Lab at the Afrolynk hub as part of their monitoring and evaluation for the Base Innovation Program.

The objective of their visit was to follow up on the progress of the startups and to deliberate on the challenges they were facing with at the incubation stage. Startups gave their feedbacks and questions were asked.

Participants in this training will receive modern digital technology skills such as mobile apps or web applications to manage farms, increase yields, and make farms more profitable over the course of three weeks.
