Colorama is a small Art Press and Risoprinting studio based in Berlin run by Johanna Maierski since 2015. Our publications and exhibitions present contemporary artists in the field of experimental comics and artists’ books, as well as projects that explore speculative forms of narration, collective narration and alternative knowledge production.

Meet us in Paris for Offprint with the new Studio Lunch and the respective kitchen towels and posters, a reprint of the spiral by Sarah Böttcher and the newest mail art project DEAR GIGI!
On Sunday, melek zertal and I will introduce STUDIO LUNCH during a small talk at 1.15 with some thoughts on marking time through food, sharing meals in a communal space and what to do with all those leftovers…

NY recap
If you know me, you know that this is my favourite two weeks of the year.
First book fair with friends, then hanging out in the city with friends and visiting some museums, then going upstate to hang out with friends!

1. Tabling with Small Editions with the great snacks and my favourite visits Secret Riso Club Gabrielle Lamontagne Bluteau
2. All the books i got, mostly traded this year! They will become part of the smallpresslibrary so stay tuned for more photos over there or come by to look at them!
4. ᴷʸˡᵉ and i at the Guggenheim show by Tracyn Simon which blew me away!
6. At the Jim Henson exhibition with Tara Booth which was 90% us gossiping and 10% taking selfies

COLORAMA Studio Lunch Book Launch at .icecream !! 🍲🍴🍦🍧

Our friends whipped up our special ice cream of tomato sorbet and yoghurt ice cream with fried capers, olive oil and peaches and it went down a treat 👅

Thank you everyone who came along for ice cream, giggles and studio lunch recipes 🫡 We just launch the book at NYABF this week woohoo! It’s been in the works for a long time and has been beautifully designed by SM Studio ♡ೃ⁀➷ archive

Alongside the book we have a studio lunch poster and screen-printed tea towel. 🔖

Ps: big shoutout to Lieven Lahaye who was the inspiration for our kitchen towel. He made one beautiful one first for Catalog that is so gorgeous I haven’t used it once till today ❤️

DEAR GIGI in production!! (The most special and exciting year-long project yet)

Each riso-printed letter is designed and annotated by SM Studio ♡ೃ⁀➷ archive and Florian ∞ Emden wrapped in a riso-printed and foil-blocked envelope 🤝

Every issue invites a different artist, writer or designer to contribute a piece of writing, an image, a conversation or another form of address. Our first two contributors are: Ana Benaroya and sunny iyer 💌
