𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 – 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming customers, partners and industry colleagues to our Open Tech Day 2026 at RF-Design.

And what better way to bring our motto to life than by combining different technologies, expertise and components?

We were especially pleased to have 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗠𝗧 𝗚𝗺𝗯𝗛 joining us for the day.

𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.

At RF-Design, we focus on RF infrastructure – managing, distributing, switching, monitoring and transporting RF signals.

But an intelligent ground segment requires more.

Signals need to be converted, modulated and demodulated. We need modems and sophisticated signal processing. 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 adds exactly these capabilities to the overall RF infrastructure.

Together, we demonstrated this interaction with a 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 – turning individual technologies into one complete signal chain.

And then there was something a little harder to miss: a drone.

Our partner 𝗠𝗠𝗧 𝗚𝗺𝗯𝗛 brought it along to demonstrate another fascinating part of the ground segment: precise antenna measurement and the evaluation of actual antenna performance.

Unfortunately, strong and gusty winds kept the drone on the ground. Nevertheless, the MMT team gave us exciting insights into their technology and its applications in professional antenna characterization.

We started the day with a tour through RF-Design, giving our guests a look behind the scenes of our development and production, as well as current systems and projects.

From there, we moved into practical demonstrations and discussions around 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗥𝗙-𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗜𝗣, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

After plenty of technology, it was time for a change of scenery.

We moved on to Weingut Schönberg, where the conversations continued over good Bergstraße w**e, great food and plenty of interesting discussions.

Because that is exactly what our Open Tech Day is about:

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

A year ago, we took the plunge and moved RF-Design GmbH into our new offices in Bensheim/Germany. A move always means change – along with a lot of planning, hard work, and a good dose of courage. Today, we can say with complete conviction: It was the right decision.

Over the past twelve months, we’ve done more than just create new jobs here. We’ve developed ideas, brought innovative products to life, successfully completed customer projects, and celebrated many shared successes. Our new facilities give us the space we need for further growth, technical innovations, and close teamwork.

A special thank you goes to our employees. Your daily dedication, commitment, and passion are the foundation of our success. We’d also like to thank our customers, business partners, and suppliers for their trust and collaborative partnership.
