As the Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, Italy, was transformed into a spectacular arena for the opening match of CEV EuroVolley 2026 - Italy vs. Sweden - played before 6,500 spectators, the event featured 54 ROBE lighting iForte LTX luminaires marking every moment of the show, from the pre-match build-up to the closing ceremony.

The ROBE lighting GigaPointe wins the LLB Expo 2026 Innovation Award in the Light category! 🏆

The award was presented last night at LLB Expo in Stockholm – the Nordic region’s largest meeting place for professionals in sound, light, image and AV technology.

A huge thank you to the jury for the recognition, and to everyone who came by the Bellalite booth and got hands-on with GigaPointe. The response has been fantastic.

Queen Machine – one of Europe’s best Queen tribute bands – definitely live up to their claim both in terms of performance and production!

Formed in Denmark in 2009, and known for their flawless, high-energy replications of Queen's legendary music, Queen Machine tours extensively across Denmark and Europe, while also regularly collaborating with symphonic ensembles like the Danish Chamber Orchestra, and some tours dedicated to a specific Queen album concept.

Lighting designer Theis Wermuth has been working with them regularly since 2012 and designed the lighting for their 28-date 2026 summer ‘Greatest Hits’ tour.

This lighting rig included – for the first time – ROBE lighting iESPRITE LTL luminaires built onto special wheeled trussing dollies, fabricated by lighting rental supplier Profox ApS, to present a genuine-looking Queen lighting aesthetic with some contemporary touches.

It is Theis’s first time using iESPRITE LTLs and he noted that they were “super bright” and while he knew they would be good, they “far exceeded” his expectations.

The National Opera House and Wexford Festival Opera in Ireland have announced a major investment in new state-of-the-art stage lighting for the O’Reilly Theatre with technology innovations from ROBE lighting designed to significantly enhance the technical capabilities of the venue.

The new equipment offers improved colour consistency, high-output performance and greater automated functionality, giving production teams more flexibility when staging opera, theatre and other live events; selected with energy efficiency and long-term sustainability in mind.

National Opera House Technical Manager Phil Jennings said the project marks a significant step in the continued development of the venue’s technical infrastructure.

German Sevillano, owner and CEO of Mexican technical production and rental company Meridian Proaudio SA de CV is a shrewd operator with a keen eye for spotting trends and listening to what the market and his customers want, and this has driven his steady investment in ROBE lighting moving lights over the years, with the latest purchase being 50 x iFORTE LTX luminaires.

These are added to his four RoboSpot systems, also purchased in the last year, together with a fleet of older but still active Robe products, including 124 x MegaPointe, Spiider and Pointe luminaires, all working on Meridian’s full range of shows and events, which are centered around concert touring, music festivals and corporate and business events.

All projects are serviced from their two busy warehouses in the Iztapalapa district in Mexico City, coordinated by around 50 full-time staff plus freelancers.

“iFORTE is a very popular fixture here in Mexico, primarily in demand for its power and versatility,” explained German. Before purchasing, he noted that several major rental companies already had stock of the original iFORTE – thanks to the proactivity of Robe distributor Showco – so he decided to get the iFORTE LTX version, which is a more recent and even brighter model.

With a smile, he also admits to liking being the first with a specific product and at the forefront of steering the industry. “I already knew that I would have plenty of work for the iFORTES,” he stated.
