How & when did you start diving?
"I grew into diving through my dad, who started when he was seventeen and later passed his passion on to me. I love the quiet illusion of zero gravity, the sense of entering new worlds, and the energy that comes from teaching, watching curiosity spark in students and sharing discoveries with friends."

How did your journey with Divesoft start?
"My Divesoft story started simply by being in the right place at the right time. Outside the water, I reset through cycling, walking my dog, or getting lost in a good book or film."

What's your role at Divesoft?
"I was among the first divers to use bailout rebreathers and became the world’s first official bailout rebreather instructor. Today, I’m also the only Factory Instructor Trainer for all Liberty configurations. Diving isn’t just part of my life, it’s the framework that shapes it. It’s where I’ve learned the most and where I’ve given the most back."

END ≤30 m as a standard: what it means in practice for gas selection 🤿

Technical divers love precision. We calculate decompression schedules down to the minute, obsess over gas reserves, and debate ppO₂ limits endlessly. But when it comes to narcosis management, many dives could be made dramatically safer with one simple standard: Equivalent Narcotic Depth (END) ≤30 m.

How did your journey with Divesoft start?
"I’ve been at Divesoft since the beginning of time. I approach my work with calm precision. People often recognize me by my phrase: “That’s too much.” Small moments like a cup of coffee with Aleš always lift my mood during the day. And when I need a moment of comfort during the day, I hide in Aleš’s huge red leather armchair - the therapeutic chair."

What's your role at Divesoft?
"I used to get involved in everything, but over the years I’ve learned to step back gracefully. My days always start the same way: coffee. A lot of coffee. I have several projects in progress, always trying not to start too many new ones."

First experience with diving?
"As a child, I watched J.Y. Cousteau’s shows and was tempted to try diving myself. At that time, it was practically impossible in our country, but later the opportunity arose. I tried it and found that it was exactly what I enjoyed. From that moment on, I stopped pursuing other sports, even those that were interesting and technically demanding, like paragliding. It became clear that diving was the right sport for me."

How did your journey with Divesoft start?
"It started simply. I noticed that certain technical equipment didn’t exist or could be improved, so I began making it myself. Friends wanted to try it, and from there, founding Divesoft and manufacturing it professionally was the natural next step. For me, a diver should never feel limited by equipment. That’s why CCR is my choice, I can dive as long as I want, not just until my gas runs out."

What's your role at Divesoft?
"Currently, I focus on automated testing of diving equipment. Our laboratory allows us to measure parameters and test breathing apparatus and other gear even at depths a diver could never reach. These machines can withstand extreme conditions and help identify areas where equipment needs improvement or modification."
