A new firmware version 5.3 for the VanityPRO has been released today! The new functionality includes increased buffer depth and improved local oscillator control with dynamically adjusted frequency step size, DBLL lock mute function and support for the auxiliary digital audio input (S/PDIF) on the USB output module.

Here are some new photos of the VanityPSU. Vast filtering capacity is shown in the photo with the lid off, while you can admire the design matching with the VanityPRO in the other two. Very short USB power cables can be used for power to jump between the two boxes. Back panel screen printing is the last job to do. Already counting down to final product release!

We have made a great contact last week with AlpineSoft, the creator of an amazing tool called VinylStudio. Designed originally for recording and archiving tapes and vinyls, it has a few unique features regarding DSD and DoP recording. It has been a while since we announced something new last time, but despite the slower summer holiday season we are happy to show you the VanityPSU!

It is a very low-noise linear power supply unit designed specifically for the VanityPRO, but is can be also used as an universal linear power supply. It has three independent power rails, two with 5V and one with 12V output. Each 5V rail has two USB connectors USB-A and USB-C and each connector has its own secondary regulator. The 12V output has standard 2.1mm DC jack. All outputs are fully protected against overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit. It comes in an enclosure design-matched to the VanityPRO.

The unique feature of our power supply is two stage linear regulation and each output regulated separately. Both regulator stages are discrete designs, with the second one being extremely low-noise, not seen in stand-alone power supplies before.

If used to power the VanityPRO the additional 5V outputs can be used to power other HDMI devices such as splitters or selectors, while the 12V output can power a DAC, network switch or other equipment requiring 12V/1A power input.

The AC input can be easily switched between 230V/115V AC. Last but not least, the brightness of the front panel LED can be manually adjusted to match indicators of other equipment.

The VanityPSU will be available through our distributors and sellers in October/November 2023.
