We've finished the V2 prototype of Prometheus, our autonomous drone.

It flies, explores, and scans on its own - no GPS, no pilot, no signal required. The kind of environments where most drones become expensive paperweights are exactly where it's built to work: indoors, in the dark, close to obstacles, off the grid.

We're now moving from prototype to real-world pilots, and we're looking for partners to test it with: fire brigades and disaster response, industrial inspection, construction, critical-infrastructure security.

We're building this in Europe, for Europe. Autonomy at this level is strategically important - this technology will exist, and the question is who builds it and where. We'd rather it be us, here.

GoodAI Swarm Robotics: Autonomous Exploration

Test of autonomous exploration in a simulated environment (a model of our office). With a single button click, the drone autonomously explored almost the entire building - it only missed the last part of the offices.

Visualization shows a global voxel map (sliced to the first floor only) and clusters of unknown region boundaries (in solid color). White, blue, and yellow balls depict navigation targets at different hierarchy levels.

At the end of the video a recorded pointcloud is shown - together with the recorded video, this is the output of the autonomous exploration scanning flight.

The video is at 10x real-time speed.

Our drone just completed an outdoor → indoor → outdoor mission through a window, smoke, and narrow corridors — without GPS or a pilot. We navigated it only on high-level by a few clicks of a mouse.

It scanned the environment, built a 3D map, and found a safe path through the building and back outside.

🤖 GoodAI Swarm Robotics: Indoor Navigation Test

We scanned our offices using the lidar mounted on a drone, then post-processed the data to create a suitable simulator environment.

The drone flies in the environment, creating a global map and a navigation graph. It then combines long range navigation (using the graph depicted with red nodes), and short range navigation. Short range navigation follows the global trajectory (chasing the yellow ball) and can react to changing conditions (obstacle avoidance).

🤖 Today is a special day for us. Project Prometheus, our autonomous drone developed by GoodAI Swarm Robotics, was featured in ABC magazine iABC.cz

If you grew up in Czechoslovakia, you probably know ABC. As kids, we read it for stories about science, technology, and sci-fi, and it played a big role in shaping how many of us thought about the future. Seeing our work appear there now feels surreal - and honestly, very rewarding for the whole team.
