It was a truly special week, as the participants came from a school in Romania for hearing-impaired students. Their patience, dedication, and professionalism impressed us deeply.

Together, we explored how ๐—”๐—œ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—น ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น for students with very specific needs โ€” opening possibilities we could not have imagined in advance.

Last week, for the first time, we had the pleasure of hosting a course in the Slovak/Czech language at our institute. Participants from Slovakia and the Czech Republic had the opportunity to explore the latest classroom technologies, with a special focus on Artificial Intelligence and its educational applications.

The course was also enriched with cultural visits, giving participants the chance to connect with the local history and experience the unique cultural heritage of our region.

It was a wonderful week of learning, exchange, and international cooperation, and we are very happy to have welcomed this group to Paphos.

From ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”โ€“๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐…๐ž๐›๐ซ๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, we delivered our course ๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and had the pleasure of hosting a brilliant group of teachers from ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ โ€” all of them ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ.

This gave our discussions a truly ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ž, as we explored how AI can support ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  in practical, creative, and meaningful ways.

What made the week special wasnโ€™t only the topic โ€” it was the people. The participantsโ€™ experience, curiosity, and enthusiasm created ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, rich exchanges, and a genuinely ๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ž๐ค from start to finish.

Last Tuesday (10 Feb 2026) I had the pleasure of visiting Limassol, at the Aโ€™ Technical School, invited by the teachers of Interior Design, to deliver a professional development session: โ€œAI for the Teacher.โ€

It was a wonderful opportunity to share both general ideas and very practical examples tailored to Interior Designโ€”how AI can support lesson planning, inspiration boards, concept development, visual communication, differentiation, and everyday admin tasks that take time away from teaching.

What I enjoyed most was the dialogue: I learned a lot from the teachersโ€™ questions, experience, and real classroom needs. Moments like this remind me that AI isnโ€™t about replacing creativityโ€”it can amplify it and make teachersโ€™ daily work easier and more meaningful.

On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, I had the pleasure of visiting Gymnasium Panayia Theoskepasti as a representative of the Cyprus Computer Society, to speak with students about professions and the job market in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

We talked about:
--careers in informatics and technology, and
--how digital technologies and AI affect all professions, changing the skills that employers look for.

AI was at the center of our discussion, together with a key point for students: building digital literacy and following programming lessons at school is a real investment in their future.

On Thursday, 15 January 2026, I visited Agios Theodoros Gymnasium (Paphos) as a representative of the Cyprus Computer Society.

The school organised a careers day, giving 9th grade students (Year 3) the chance to learn about different professions before choosing their direction in Lyceum. It was a real pleasure to talk with the students about careers in Computer Science, the many paths within the field, and how someone can study Informatics.

The students were full of thoughtful questions, especially around Artificial Intelligence, and the discussion was truly engaging.

On 11 December 2025, Cyprus schools celebrated the Day of the Educator โ€” a day dedicated to teachersโ€™ professional development through seminars on todayโ€™s key educational topics.

I was honoured to be invited by the Technical and Vocational School of Paphos, where I delivered a session titled โ€œAI for the Educator.โ€ We explored practical ways AI can support teachers:

--learning new things and staying up to date
--preparing lessons more efficiently
--differentiating instruction for studentsโ€™ needs
--discussing the challenges and ethical questions around AI
--helping students use AI creatively and responsibly
--The interest and enthusiasm of the teachers truly impressed me!

๐ŸŒ ERASMUS+ course: From Multicultural to Intercultural Classrooms ๐ŸŒ

Last week, from 17 to 21 November 2025, our Institute in Paphos opened its doors once again for one of our favorite ERASMUS+ courses: โ€œFrom Multicultural to Intercultural Classrooms.โ€

We welcomed two wonderful colleagues from Germany, each bringing insights from Vocational Education and Adult Educationโ€”two fields where intercultural understanding is not just useful, but essential.

In this course, led by Silouanos Charalambous, we explored the heart of interculturalityโ€”communication, empathy, and understanding beyond just living side by side. Georgios Charalambous presented how digital tools can enhance inclusion and cultural dialogue in classrooms.

The energy was incredibleโ€”open conversations, deep reflections, and a shared passion for growth as educators. A huge thanks to our participants for making this week so memorable.
