As BEYOND 2026 comes to a close, the team of Infotrend Innovations would like to thank everyone who visited us!

Over the past three days, we had the opportunity to engage with technology professionals, researchers, public authorities, and industry representatives from across Europe. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, discussing emerging cybersecurity challenges, and exploring new opportunities for innovation and collaboration.

As part of our participation, we also shared insights from ongoing European research and innovation initiatives, including the Horizon Europe project DORIAN GRAY, which is developing AI-powered technologies, digital twins, wearable-device integration, and personalized prevention strategies to support healthier ageing and improve the early detection of cognitive decline in patients with cardiovascular conditions. The project highlights the growing importance of secure, trustworthy, and resilient digital healthcare ecosystems.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and contributed to the many insightful discussions throughout the event. We look forward to continuing these conversations and strengthening collaborations that support innovation, cybersecurity, and digital transformation across Europe.

Cybersecurity is not only about technology. It is about people, expertise, collaboration, and the ability to transform operational challenges into opportunities for innovation.
As part of the ACTI-X (Advanced Cyber Threat Information Exchange) project, INFOTREND Innovations recently conducted a series of stakeholder interviews with key cybersecurity professionals and decision-makers to better understand the real-world challenges faced by organisations responsible for protecting critical infrastructures.
We were honoured to engage in a highly insightful discussion with Mr. Diamantis Zafeiriades, Head of the Digital Security Authority of Cyprus, and Mrs. Anna Michael, SOC Team Leader of the National CSIRT.
The discussion provided a valuable perspective on the rapidly evolving threat landscape, the increasing complexity of cybersecurity operations, and the growing need for enhanced cooperation, intelligence sharing, and automation across national and European cybersecurity ecosystems.
Drawing from extensive experience in national cyber resilience, critical infrastructure protection, incident response, cyber threat intelligence, and strategic cybersecurity governance, Mr. Zafeiriades highlighted some of the key challenges facing security operations today. Among them were the management of large-scale cyber threat data, the need for unified visibility across multiple security platforms, and the importance of leveraging artificial intelligence to support analysts in making faster and more informed decisions.
Particularly inspiring was the broader vision shared regarding the future of cybersecurity collaboration in Europe, including the development of interconnected cyber defence capabilities and the importance of creating a common operational picture that enables organisations and authorities to respond more effectively to emerging threats.
The insights shared during the interview are helping shape the requirements and direction of the ACTI-X platform, ensuring that future solutions are developed with the operational realities of end-users firmly in mind.
At INFOTREND Innovations, we strongly value the opportunity to collaborate with experts who are actively shaping the cybersecurity landscape and strengthening cyber resilience at both national and European levels.
We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Diamantis Zafeiriades and Mrs. Anna Michael for their time, expertise, and meaningful contribution to the ACTI-X project. Their experience and strategic perspective will undoubtedly help guide the development of solutions that better serve the cybersecurity community.

Myth: Security slows development.
Reality: Fixing vulnerabilities after release slows development.

The earlier risks are identified, the easier and cheaper they are to address.

That's why the CONSOLE Project focusses on bringing security closer to the development process itself.

A productive day of collaboration today in Patras during the meeting of the coordination team and representatives of the 10 partners from 6 Euro-Mediterranean countries (Greece, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain and Cyprus) participating in the Germ of Life project.

🌱 During the meeting, held at the Hall of Regional Council thanks to the hospitality of the authorities of the Region Of Western Greece — a partner of the project — participants reviewed the final stage of development and integration of the technological platform created by Germ of Life to improve drought risk management for both public institutions and private companies.

One of the project’s central elements is the Vulnerability Assessment Tool (VAT), an integrated tool within the Germ of Life digital platform that combines technological solutions and nature-based solutions. The system integrates numerous environmental indicators and supports decision-making to strengthen climate resilience across different habitats in Euro-Mediterranean countries.

📍 Patras will also host tomorrow Thursday 28 and Friday 29 the official final event of the project, in coordination with the International Conference of Balkan and Black Sea Regions.

The institutional opening will feature the participation of Fokion Zaimis, President of the CPMR Balkan and Black Sea Commission and Deputy Governor of Achaia (Region of Western Greece); Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean; Nektarios Farmakis, Governor of the Region of Western Greece; Mariëtte van Leeuwen, Vice-President of the CPMR and Regional Minister of Zuid-Holland; Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of BSEC PERMIS; and Valentina Cobzareanu, Deputy Secretary General of PABSEC.

We just wrapped up our second face-to-face meeting at the European Heart House in Nice, hosted by the European Society of Cardiology!

Spending two full days in the same room made a real difference. Beyond the packed agenda, it was the ongoing exchanges, side conversations, and even the moments of disagreement that helped us take a step forward. These are the situations where ideas get challenged, refined, and sometimes completely rethought — which is exactly what this project needs at this stage 🧠 🫀

There’s still a lot to figure out, but this meeting helped align expectations across the team. It also reminded us how valuable it is to work together in person 🤝

A highlight was definitely the chance to explore the game solutions developed by our new partner Liopep 🎮 It was great to test them together — it sparked new discussions and opened up directions we’re now keen to explore further.

Overall, intense but genuinely useful days 💡 Thanks to everyone involved for the openness, the critical thinking, and the collaborative spirit — looking forward to building on this momentum in the next phase 🚀

From Complexity to Clarity: Simplifying Cybersecurity for SMEs

🔐 Cybersecurity shouldn’t be complex — especially for SMEs.

Small and medium-sized enterprises often face the same cyber threats as large organisations, but without dedicated security teams or extensive resources. This makes usability and clarity essential when adopting cybersecurity solutions.

Within the CONSOLE Project, the focus is on simplifying cybersecurity workflows and making security insights accessible to development teams, not just specialists.

Key priorities include:
✅ Clear and intuitive dashboards for security visibility
✅ Actionable vulnerability insights, not overwhelming alerts
✅ Easy navigation across development and security tools
✅ Practical guidance aligned with SME workflows

By reducing complexity and improving usability, SMEs can focus on what matters most — building secure software efficiently and confidently.

💡 Cybersecurity becomes more effective when it’s simple, practical, and accessible.
