Some business trips give you meetings.
Some give you memories.
During the “Cyprus as a Gateway” mission to Jakarta and Singapore, together with Επικεφαλής Επιστήμονας για Έρευνα, Καινοτομία και Τεχνολογία / Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides, our Ambassador to Indonesia Nikos Panayiotou, and 10 other Cypriot companies, we had the opportunity to present what Cyprus can really deliver in technology, innovation and business.
One of my special moments in Jakarta was meeting ILHAM A. HABIBIE, son of Indonesia’s third President, B.J. Habibie.
I grabbed the opportunity for a short interview with him.
We spoke about AI, technology, the future, his father and the legacy he left behind.
For someone like me who has spent more than 30 years in technology, these are the conversations I enjoy the most. Different countries, different generations, same passion for innovation and for creating something that can make a real difference.
And this is exactly why missions like Cyprus as a Gateway matter.
Cyprus may be small, but our technology companies, our ideas and our ambition are definitely not.
A short interview in Jakarta.
A great person to meet.
And another one added to my collection of memories.
