How do you find a translation company that you can trust? Below are 5 of your most important considerations:

They do localization instead of just translation: If you want to break into your target market with success, it's essential to move beyond literal translation and ensure your content reflects the cultural preferences and expectations of that market. This is where localization comes into play. Therefore, it's advisable that you opt for a translation agency that can also localize your content.

Their translators are industry and subject-matter experts: Translation projects can only achieve optimal results when managed by professionals that are well-versed in your particular industry, as these experts have the ability to accurately convey the intended meaning of your original content. Hence, it’s best to choose a company that employs experts from your industry.

They have a strict evaluation process for translators: Professional translation companies have rigorous evaluation processes in place to carefully assess and select translators who can consistently deliver exceptional results. When considering collaborating with a translation agency, you should inquire about its translator evaluation methods.

They have solid revision processes in place: Translation errors occur frequently and should be expected. For this reason, translation agencies that incorporate a quality assurance step in their translation processes consistently provide more error-free translations compared to those that don’t.

The translation company is reputable: Companies must demonstrate consistency between their claims and actions. To assess whether a translation agency is the right choice for you, it’s recommended that you visit independent platforms like G2, as those will provide you with an unbiased perspective on their work.

Are you ready to find a translation company that fulfils all these criteria and then some? At Pangea Global, we meet and surpass these expectations, as reflected by our outstanding 4.6 rating on G2! Check us out at https://bit.ly/3NsEn99.

There are four main types of translation categories: literary, professional, technical, and certified. Let’s shed light on their differences & help you figure out the most suitable translation type for your specific needs!

Literary translation: Literal translation involves the translation of creative and imaginative works like novels, poems, and plays. This particular translation form is, to no one’s surprise, the most creative of the bunch. Oftentimes, translators employ literary translation tactics when transcreating ads and other creative marketing materials.

Professional translation: Professional translation covers various fields from business to legal and financial translation. Its main focus is on translating texts that serve professional uses, like contracts or business reports.

Technical translation: Technical translation deals with texts containing specialized terminology and knowledge (like medical texts, for example). Similarly to professional translation, this translation type is highly complex and requires the expertise of highly skilled translators equipped with industry-specific knowledge and experience.

Certified translation: Certified translation, or otherwise known as administrative translation, revolves around translating official documents, certificates, or government-related texts. This type of translation calls for a certified or sworn translator, i.e., a person with the authority to provide official translations.

We, at Pangea Global, provide translation and localization services that cover all the areas specified above, serving influential players across the entire range of the aforementioned industries and more! If you want to check out what we do, head over to our website at https://bit.ly/43gxsGQ.

Meet Farfetch'd, the adorable Pokémon with a knack for battling with a leek by its side! How do you say Farfetch’d in different languages?

To answer this fascinating question, we need to start from the beginning… Farfetch’d origins can be traced back to the Japanese saying, “鴨が葱を背負って来る”, which translates to “a duck comes bearing spring onions”. This proverbial saying is used to imply that something improbable or extraordinary is about to happen, making Farfetch’d the embodiment of unexpected surprises in the Pokémon universe!

Through transcreation, the English translators ingeniously modified the original Japanese Pokémon name into "Farfetch'd," allowing them to capture the essence of the original name while infusing it with playful flair! In other languages, by contrast, translators opted for a more literal of translation:

● German: Porenta – “Porree” meaning leek + “ente” meaning duck
● Korean: 파오리 Paori – “Pa” meaning scallion + “ori” meaning duck
● French: Canarticho – “Canard” meaning duck + “artichaut” meaning artichoke

And stay tuned for more Pokémon translations!
