Φιγουρίνια, κομοτίνα, τάβλες τζαι τσαέρες
Η μελέτη αποσκοπεί στην καταγραφή της επίπλωσης του Κυπριακού σπιτιού και της μετεξέλιξης του μέσα από τα χρόνια. Πού κατασκευάζονταν τα έπιπλα και από ποιους; Από πού και πώς οι τεχνίτες προμηθεύονταν τις πρώτες ύλες; Υπήρχαν νομικοί ή άλλοι περιορισμοί;
Ψάχνουμε:
• Φωτογραφίες επίπλων από την Αγγλοκρατία μέχρι σήμερα με έμφαση στα έπιπλα Formica φτιαγμένα στην Κύπρο.
• Φωτογραφίες από εργαστήρια, πελεκανιά και εργοστάσια επίπλων των τελευταίων εκατό χρόνων.
• Αποδείξεις και τιμολόγια αγοραπωλησίας υλικών και επίπλων που να δείχνουν τον κύκλο εργασιών μιας επιχείρησης ή ενός τεχνίτη.
• Σχέδια, σκίτσα και καταλόγους προϊόντων.
• Φωτογραφίες από το εσωτερικό σπιτιών (συμπεριλαμβανομένων φωτογραφιών κατά τη διάρκεια της εισβολής.
• Φωτογραφίες χρήσης των επίπλων με ασυνήθιστο τρόπο (πχ: καρέκλες ως περπατούσες, καρέκλες ως τραπέζια κλπ)
• Τεχνίτες ή πελεκάνους που να μπορούν να εξιστορήσουν την εξέλιξη των μεθόδων κατασκευής επίπλων μέσα από τα χρόνια.
• Οτιδήποτε άλλο μπορεί να θεωρηθεί σχετικό και χρήσιμο για την έρευνα μας.

Figurines, Bed Side Tables, Tables and Chairs
Τhe study aims to record the furnishing of the Cypriot house and its evolution through the years. Where were the furniture pieces made and by whom? From where and how did the craftsmen obtain the raw materials? Were there legal or other restrictions?
We are looking for:
• Photographs of furniture from the British rule up to today, with emphasis on Formica furniture made in Cyprus.
• Photographs of workshops, carpentries, and furniture factories from the last hundred years.
• Receipts and invoices for the purchase and sale of materials and furniture that show the turnover of a business or a craftsman.
• Designs, sketches, and product catalogues.
• Photographs of house interiors (including photographs taken during the invasion).
• Photographs of furniture being used in unusual ways (e.g., chairs as walking aids, chairs as tables, etc.).
• Craftsmen or carpenters who can recount the evolution of furniture-making methods over the years.
• Anything else that could be considered relevant and useful for our research.
