Reaching a milestone is great. Setting the next goal is better 🚀

We are incredibly proud of our impact as a Google for Education partner, but we’ve always believed that digital transformation is a continuous journey.

With Lumio Private School allowing us to achieve the region's first 1-to-1 Chromebook deployment, we are officially putting all our energy into the next phase: establishing them as the the region's first Google for Education Reference Institution.

Our Gear Collective series continues, where we share the stories behind the digital transformation journeys of our partners.

It is a distinct honor to feature Lumio Private School in our second story. To build a school from the ground up requires more than a checklist; it requires the vision to get the foundations right before the first student ever enters the classroom.

True transformation requires planning and the patience to see a long-term vision through. Lumio embraced this, leaning on our expertise to ensure their Google for Education ecosystem was built for longevity. Because they focused on the "how" and the "why" first, they were able to hit historic milestones within their very first year—including the region's first 1-to-1 Chromebook program and a nomination for the Google for Education Reference Program.

Our mission at Gear Education is simple: ensure educators in our region are equipped with the tools and training needed to lead a modern classroom. As we approach the milestone of training nearly 1,000 educators on using AI in education, that mission feels more vital than ever.

Our recent training with Γ' ΤΕΣΕΚ Λεμεσού was truly enlightening. Contrary to the common narrative of "AI resistance," we saw 100% engagement. These educators recognize that AI is an essential partner in streamlining their work and enhancing student learning, but they need the guidance on how to do it effectively and safely.

During the training, we provided Google Workspace for Education demo accounts for hands-on practice using Google's purpose-built AI tools, Gemini and NotebookLM. The response has been incredible; those same educator are now actively asking for full access to continue what they’ve started.
