At Alphanet, we found that half of all complaints about home internet are related to Wi-Fi issues.
Of course, this isn’t the only possible problem with your connection. Sometimes computer viruses are to blame, and sometimes the problem is simply a slow internet plan.
However, most often, it’s the Wi-Fi router that causes all the trouble. This can be really frustrating when problems prevent you from watching YouTube, downloading your favorite TV show, or chatting on Skype with your beloved aunt.
Why Does This Happen?
Not long ago, only one or two computers were connected to home internet. Now we have several computers, all family smartphones, and a couple of TVs. Some people also have Wi-Fi printers and smart cookers connected to the internet.
There are too many devices now, and the old router can’t handle the increased load. This problem gets worse if the router is in a bad location or thick walls block the signal.
Your neighbors have wireless internet too. Their routers and your router can block each other’s signals. This makes your Wi-Fi work worse.
