Think about the last time you used navigation.

You knew where you wanted to go.

But the real value came from everything that happened between your starting point and your destination.

Your route.
Your location.
Traffic conditions.
Unexpected changes.
Better alternatives along the way.

Navigation doesn't drive the car for you.

It connects information around your journey so you can make better decisions.

Agriculture deserves the same kind of thinking.

As corn and sunflower harvest begins across our fields, one production cycle is reaching its destination.

But the next journey is already beginning.

A farmer starts with an intention:

Next season, I plan to grow this crop, on this field, across this area.

From that seemingly simple decision, an entire ecosystem can start moving.

Suppliers can understand future demand earlier and respond with relevant, targeted offers.

As the season progresses, satellite monitoring adds another layer of field intelligence.

Activities and inputs can be recorded through the Farmtopia Digital Field Book.

Field data, production activities and market interactions gradually become connected parts of the same journey.

And when conditions change, better information enables better decisions.

This is how we think about Agro Budget System-ABS Digital platform

Not as a collection of digital features.

But as an infrastructure connecting:

INTENTION → MARKET → FIELD → DATA → DECISION

For farmers, it means a smarter way to plan, organize, monitor and document production while connecting their real production needs with the market.

For companies across the agricultural supply chain, it creates something equally powerful: earlier visibility into future demand and an opportunity to engage farmers around real production plans, not assumptions.

Two sides of agriculture.
One connected production journey.

And there is one principle behind ABS that matters enormously to us:

Access to the ABS platform is completely FREE for farmers.

Because better agricultural decisions should not begin with another cost.

The combine may be harvesting this year's corn today.

But the data that will shape next season can start moving long before the first seed enters the soil.

When weather becomes one of the most important business variables in agriculture, we know the rules of the game are changing.

Extreme temperatures, prolonged periods without rainfall, and increasingly unpredictable weather patterns are putting agricultural production under unprecedented pressure.

Drought is no longer an exceptional event. For many farmers, it is becoming a recurring business risk, one that can significantly reduce yields, disrupt cash flow, and jeopardize the next production cycle.

And when the damage is done, another challenge begins: how do you objectively measure it and secure compensation?

Traditional crop insurance plays an important role, but drought is particularly complex.
Unlike hail or storms, drought does not happen at a single moment. It develops over days and weeks, affects individual fields and crop development stages differently, and can be difficult to quantify through conventional loss-assessment mechanisms.

But what if we changed the logic?

What if protection could be linked to transparent, predefined and objectively measurable parameters?

Rainfall. Temperature. Consecutive dry days. Excess rainfall during critical production periods.

Data cannot prevent a drought.

But it can fundamentally change how farmers manage its financial consequences.

This is exactly where we Agro Budget System-ABS Digital platform see the next opportunity .

For the upcoming production season, we are working toward bringing a new approach to climate-risk management to the market, one designed to help farmers rely not only on weather forecasts and post-event damage assessments, but on objective, measurable data that can determine when predefined weather thresholds have been reached.

Because the future of agricultural risk management is not simply about knowing what weather is coming.

It is about knowing when weather conditions cross the threshold at which agricultural production can no longer absorb the risk.

Something new is coming to ABS. Stay tuned.

🌱 The future of agriculture will not be built only on better production. It will be built on better decisions.

Agriculture has always been about decisions.

Which crop to plant?
Which variety to choose?
When and how much to invest?
How to optimize resources and reduce risks?

But today, those decisions are becoming more complex than ever.

Climate uncertainty, rising input costs, market pressure and sustainability requirements are changing the way farmers need to think about production.

This is where ABS – Agro Budget System brings a new approach.

ABS is not just another digital farming tool.

It is a decision-support platform that connects:

🌱 production planning
📊 data-driven analysis
🛰️ Earth Observation insights
🤖 intelligent recommendations
🤝 farmers and suppliers
📘 digital traceability and sustainability practices

Our vision is simple:

Help farmers move from reacting to problems to making informed decisions before problems occur.

Because the biggest impact on farm profitability is often created months before harvest at the moment when the right decision is made.

ABS is building the digital foundation for a more efficient, sustainable and connected agricultural ecosystem.

The future of farming starts with better decisions.

Every end is also the beginning of something new.

The end of June marked the last phase of the Farmtopia project, funded by the Europe programme.
But for us, this is far from the end of the journey.

On the contrary - it is the moment when the true value of the work done becomes visible.

Over the past months, together with outstanding partners from all over Europe, we have had the opportunity to design, develop and validate ABS Veggie, our decision support solution for small and medium-sized producers of traditional vegetable varieties.

The results further confirm what we have firmly believed from the very beginning: well-designed agricultural decision support tools (ADS) can significantly improve planning, decision-making and production efficiency for farmers growing traditional vegetable varieties.

And the story continues.

In the second half of this month, we will proudly present the achievements of the ABS Veggie project in the webinar "One webinar, 18 sustainable innovation pilots: Results from across Europe", where all 18 innovation pilots will share their experiences, lessons learned and project outcomes.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an ambitious European initiative. Working with inspiring partners, sharing knowledge and contributing to the digital transformation of sustainable agriculture has been both a privilege and a responsibility.

For Agro Budget System , Farmtopia has never been just a project.

It is another important milestone in our mission to build digital solutions that help farmers make better decisions, preserve agricultural biodiversity and make European agriculture more resilient and sustainable.

Harvest is not the end of the production cycle.

It is the moment when the quality of decisions made eight to ten months earlier becomes visible.

At this time of year, everyone is focused on yield.
We talk about grain moisture, test weight and market prices.

But the true outcome of a production season is not measured only by what the combine harvests.

It is measured by answering a few basic questions:

✔️ Was every investment made at the right time and with the expected economic return?

✔️ Was the production process planned in a way that minimizes risks and maximizes profitability?

✔️ Was there a strategy in place before the first combine entered the field?

✔️ Were there opportunities to secure more favorable financing for agricultural inputs or purchase contracts while the farmer still had strong negotiating power?

Here the difference between traditional farming and digitally-driven agricultural planning becomes apparent.

At Agro Budget System, we believe that a successful harvest is not created during the harvest season.

It begins the moment a farmer develops a production plan.
https://agrobudget.com/en/farmers-landing/

That plan becomes much more than an operational schedule.
It generates valuable insights for the entire agricultural supply chain. Input suppliers
https://agrobudget.com/en/companies-landing/
can better predict demand.
Financial institutions and insurance companies can develop customized offers based on planned production.
Buyers and grain processors can communicate with producers earlier, creating procurement opportunities before harvest, when market prices are typically under the most pressure.

The greatest value of digitalization is not in documenting what has already happened.

Its real value lies in enabling better decisions while there is still time to influence the outcome.

Because by the time the combine enters the field, most of the key business decisions have already been made.

Agro Budget System believe that the future of agriculture will belong to those who transform data into timely decisions, creating greater predictability, reduced risk and more sustainable value for everyone in the agricultural supply chain.

🌱 ABS Veggie is entering its final month and Phase 3 is all about scaling

As June brings the ABS Veggie project close to its final stage within the Farmtopia Open Call (Horizon Europe), we are now focused on what comes after field validation: turning pilot results into a scalable and sustainable digital agriculture solution.

Over the past months, ABS Veggie moved through three clear phases:

✅ Phase 1 – DEVELOP
We co-created the platform with farmers and input suppliers, defined functional and technical requirements, and prepared the ABS Veggie platform for real-field testing.

✅ Phase 2 – DEPLOY
We validated the platform in real farming conditions on cabbage and onion production at PG Svetislav Pačarić’s farm in Žabalj. This included EO-based parcel monitoring, Farmtopia Digital Field Book integration, drone-supported precision operations, field activity tracking, and supplier–farmer interaction.

✅ Phase 3 – SCALE
Now, we are finalising the business model, market strategy, dissemination activities, and pathways for wider adoption.

One of the key milestones of this final phase was the ABS Veggie Open Day in Žabalj, where farmers, advisors, suppliers, and technology providers had the opportunity to see the platform in action directly in the field.

The message from this phase is clear: is no longer just a pilot idea. It is becoming a practical digital ecosystem that connects farmers, data, suppliers, and precision agriculture technologies.

In the final weeks, our focus is on consolidating lessons learned, analysing scaling opportunities in Serbia and the wider region, and preparing the next steps for bringing ABS Veggie closer to farmers who need simple, affordable, and useful digital tools.

From co-creation to validation and now toward scaling.

The best agricultural decisions are made before the season starts.

Most digital agriculture tools help farmers monitor what is happening in the field.

Agro Budget System helps them decide what should happen before the fieldwork even begins.

Today, farmers
https://agrobudget.com/en/farmers-landing/
on the ABS platform can plan production, compare supplier offers, monitor crops through satellite data, generate variable-rate application maps, and transfer prescription maps directly to drones.

For suppliers ,
https://agrobudget.com/en/companies-landing/
ABS provides something equally valuable:

Insight into future demand.

Not after the decision is made.

Before it is made.

After dozens of meetings, workshops, demos, and discussions with farmers, cooperatives, distributors, and agribusiness companies over the past months, one thing is becoming clear:

Agriculture is moving from experience based decisions toward data driven decisions.

ABS is building the infrastructure for that transition.

If you're a farmer, supplier, financial institution, insurer, or agribusiness company interested in seeing what's next, let's talk.

11/06/2026

As the spring season comes to an end, we are seeing a clear shift in how agricultural production is being organized through the ABS platform for the 2026 season.

Farmers are starting production planning earlier and increasingly making decisions based on data rather than experience alone.

What stands out most is that Agro Budget System - ABS is no longer used only for planning crop structure, but also for analyzing production economics, input needs, and risk exposure before field operations even begin.

For farmers https://agrobudget.com/en/farmers-landing/ ,
this means greater control and the ability to make better decisions earlier in the season, instead of reacting to problems later.

For companies
https://agrobudget.com/en/companies-landing/
in the agricultural supply chain, ABS now provides something that was previously unavailable visibility into future production during the planning phase.
This enables more accurate sales planning, better inventory management, and demand driven offers instead of assumptions.

This season also confirmed the value of new Agro Budget System - ABS functionalities:
• for better field insight
• Digital field book as a central production record
•Farmer-Supplier module for improved supply-demand connectivity
• (Farmtopia) tailored for vegetable production workflows

Most importantly, the key shift remains the same: turning data into better decisions across the entire agricultural supply chain from producers to processors.

And this is still just the beginning.

👨‍🌾 Getting ready for the big measurement, onion harvest at

As part of the farmtopia_eu project, one of the most important field events of this season is just ahead of us.

📍 Location: PG Svetislav Pačarić
🧅 Crop: onion
🎯 Goal: measuring the actual increase in yield and quality using the platform, with all its functionalities fully utilized.

We won't just be pulling onions out of the ground.
We'll be pulling data comparing plots managed with the Agro Budget System against standard practices.
We'll measure bulb size, uniformity, resilience, and ultimately, yield per hectare.

Everything we've planned through the ABSVeggie platform, Agro Budget System , EO continuous plots monitoring, precision recommendations, digital treatment records, now faces its biggest test: harvest.

🧠 Why does this matter?
Because there's no more guessing.
The ABSVeggie platform doesn't tell stories, it tells numbers.
And this onion harvest will be proof that precision agriculture on local fields truly delivers more.

🚜 The Agro Budget System continues its journey, from idea, through development, to concrete results in the field.

Stay tuned.
The onions are getting ready, and we're preparing the answers to the question:

How much more can you actually get when you have the right system?

Coming soon – measured and accurate.
