🚀 This is Tina Mihajlovic story:
“Like most final year students, I also had to complete an internship as a part of my degree - but I didn’t want to just choose anything and get it over with, I wanted to gain valuable experience, interning at a company whose mission I align with, and most importantly, I wanted to work on an interesting and challenging machine learning project I would be proud to have on my resume.Of course, I didn’t know that SmartCat would tick all of those boxes before I applied, but looking back at my 2 month internship now, I can confirm that it did!
During my internship I worked on researching and fine-tuning Stable Diffusion (a very impressive text to image generation model), and applied the acquired knowledge to build an app around it - I even got to showcase the app at the 2023 Data Science Conference, where hundreds of people tried the software!
And I didn’t do it alone, my mentor Stanko was always there to guide and help me, or crack some puny jokes… and the nourishing and friendly environment that is the SmartCat office made the whole experience that much more enjoyable.
I learned a lot, built some pretty impressive software, and met some very inspiring people - all of which I’m very grateful for.”
