After many many months of hard work, investment, dreaming, planning, and a dash of pura vida, are around the corner from officially opening their gates to all Nosara and the world.
Being in the in-between before the full opening is a blessing in disguise, as I now finally have the headspace to share the details of this incredible project with you from ideation to ex*****on. I have so much cool before & after footage to share, not to mention branding and architectural detail and plans for activating each area. There’s also a fair amount of drama and tears and self development which I may or may not get to. 😆 Anyway, all fun stuff I have been way too overwhelmed to properly share until now…

Sketchy sketches & art musings
Often I like my sketches way more than the final product. Because they were intuitive and made in a flow state with just about zero judgement of self or care for the outsider’s perspective. They’re looser, less perfectionist and raw. On a mission to create all my art and music from that space. It’s a process of eliminating external voices and view points. It’s an undoing of 35 years of other people’s stories in my head.
says that the audience doesnt know what it wants anyway. Only what’s come before. So creating without the receivers in mind is perfectly fine. Perhaps a little scary but more likely to lead to ground breaking results that are immediately recognizable as stemming from your unique self.
Imagine if all of life and our actions and interactions were conducted in that way. Would definitely be different. Intense but more honest and ultimately aligned. ✨✨

✨Writing is alchemy✨
Writing is believing in your power to forge a new story and transform your life’s embers in to building blocks of solid gold. Through awareness and the casting of intention with ink, it is possible.
Each time I write to an aspect of myself, I feel a lightness emanating from the deep caverns of my subconscious. And then space for something completely new emerges….the magic light of new realities creating tangible light faster than I can possible explain. I also feel a sense of self love that I’m not aware of on a daily basis. But it comes forward when I give myself a second to talk…to me. It’s almost like the love is always there 😉 .
I’ve recently written to my voice, my womb and about my ideal approach to the masculine and feminine balance in life because these are areas I am in the process of healing. After communicating to them through writing and sitting with my questions for and from them, I feel the dynamic has changed from passive to active. From inanimate or intangible to living, alive and wise in their own right. And now I get a glimpse at how to proceed for their sake with real possibility for change.
Have you tried this practice? What part of your being would you address first? What aspect of yourself of do you feel the least connected to or blocked by? That might be an interesting place to start. Highly recommend, letter lovers.

Jungle Portal, El Shadai

Acrylic, Hebrew Calligraphy, 24K Gold on Canvas
The Creator has many names in Hebrew alone and they all carry immense meaning and power individually. One of my intentions for the artwork I create this year is to study these names and dive deeper in to the aspects of God that they represent. Why? Because I want to and believe we can know God. What I am looking for and ready for and believe in now is the potential for everyone to connect to the Divine within and without.
This piece and my early series on the 42 Letter Name, שם מ״ב are my attempt to come closer and imbue the powers of these names in to my life.
Shadai itself means many things. In this painting, ‘Jungle Portal, El Shadai’, I call in the protector שומר דלתות ישראל, the meaning behind the name in acronym form. May God protect us in our homes and form a safe portal and escape from the darkness in the world. For where there is darkness there is also light. I choose light and I choose to bring it to you through my art.

Psalms Chapter 23 ✨ תהילים פרק כג
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever….”
As I created this commission, I wondered what this line really meant about eating at a table set by Gd in front of our enemies. The rest of this chapter is quite peaceful, while this verse seems to give a backhanded punishment to others not previously mentioned. I wondered how it all fit together.
Something I’ve learned this past year is that the external world is a reflection of our internal world. We quite literally create situations and interactions as a result of what’s going on in our minds and belief systems. So when I see the word ‘enemy’ I wonder first what part of me created said enemy. I dont fully externalize the blame anymore, or at least I try not to. I realize that for someone to be our enemy we first have to choose to see them that way and interpret their actions that way I choose to wonder if a perceived enemy is really that at all. Anymore than I am to myself. So I wonder if King David was referring to the enemy within. May Gd set a table for him in heaven for all his parts. Because all parts are loved. But only the part of him who recognized the truth of his selves got the real prize. That could be why an enemy is even present in such a sweet chapter devoted to Gd’s infinite loving gestures. My two cents 💌
