Turning classic characters from memories into tangible 3D art✨
We interviewed Brazilian 3D model designer .arts to explore her passion and creative journey.
Her 3D printing journey began with characters from The Witcher. Fascinated by the process of virtual figures taking physical shape, she focused entirely on 3D character creation.
Her breakthrough work is a 10cm, 1/16 scale Terra Branford miniature. This ultra-detailed piece helped her push boundaries and master patience, precision and creative confidence.
For her, 3D printing is far more than art. It delivers healing and practical value in healthcare, improving lives with technology.

From Brush to Build Plate: How a Miniature Painter Found His Passion in 3D Printing

For many makers, the journey into 3D printing starts with a single spark. For one miniature painter, that spark came not from a machine, but from a paintbrush.
“3D printing came into my life because of painting,” he recalls. After buying several plastic model kits, he started promoting a 3D printing store and received miniatures every month. “It didn’t take long for me to discover endless possibilities with 3D printing beyond just painting models,” he says. Soon after, he bought his first printer.
His proudest project so far? A large-scale Warhammer piece named Titus. “The challenge was adjusting and making the base parts fit on the printer,” he explains. That project taught him to better understand part layout and gave him “the courage to print a large project risking errors or power outages.”
Looking ahead, he sees boundless potential. “We can make everything from small parts for dioramas to replacement parts for machines.” He believes the biggest impact will be in the medical field.
For beginners, his advice is simple: “Be open-minded and willing to experiment. Every print and every project teaches us something, even if it’s just the position of a small support.”
When asked to sum up his work in one sentence: “I bring dreams to life in the form of miniatures and paintings. Print, paint, and create—unleash your imagination!”

Exposure time is the core of successful printing.
We summarized an easy guide to tell if your exposure setting is correct🔧
🔹 Proper Exposure
Crisp details, dry surface, strong layers, flat bottom.
🔹 Insufficient Exposure
Soft sticky resin, layer separation, warping. Increase exposure time and keep bottom layer 15x longer.
🔹 Excessive Exposure
Blurry edges, brittle models, stubborn supports. Reduce exposure properly.
