Today, a client in the parking industry in South America expressed interest in purchasing Parking Self-Payment Kiosks from our company. Since the client may not have been very familiar with the parking payment business, I used the following guided questions and, based on the client’s actual responses, ultimately provided a solution that met their specific needs and offered excellent value for money. The client was very satisfied:
1. In current transactions: Do customers pay exclusively with cash? Or do they use non-cash methods (POS)? Or do you accept both? If cash is accepted, does the system need to provide change for both bills and coins?
2. What are the most commonly used bill denominations for a single parking payment? What are the most commonly used coin denominations? Regarding change: How much change is typically required? (including both bills and coins).
3. Will the final application platform use our software, or will the client develop it themselves (if the client develops it themselves, we will provide free secondary development packages and SDKs for each module)? If we develop the software, please send me several samples of each denomination of bills and coins from the client’s country so we can conduct development testing; additionally, please send a set of POS terminal equipment and provide the corresponding SDK to me.
These simple, guided questions immediately clarified things for the client.
