A library in China manages around 100,000 books and materials. With traditional barcode-based workflows, both annual inventory and everyday borrowing and returns require substantial staff time, while annual stocktaking alone can take up to three weeks.

🐄 What if livestock could be counted and identified without stopping the flow?

Scanning livestock individually can slow operations, require more manual handling, and cause additional stress for the animals. Australian livestock identification provider UTAGS addresses this by turning everyday gateways into automated RFID checkpoints.

RFID ear tags identify each animal, while antennas positioned around gateways or raceways capture tag data as livestock move naturally through the reading zone. 🍒 Ever wondered how thousands of cherries stay traceable from packing line to warehouse?

During peak harvest season, a cherry producer in Chile needs to process, pack, store, and ship large volumes of product within a short period. Keeping inventory counts accurate while maintaining product and batch traceability across these fast-moving operations can be challenging.

To improve visibility, a company integrated RFID into its packing and warehouse workflow:
1️⃣ An RFID tag is embedded in the laminated paper inside each cherry punnet
2️⃣ Product information is written to the tag after filling
3️⃣ The tagged punnets continue through wrapping and boxing
