fuse is a critical overcurrent protection component in electronic circuits.
Fuse Function Principle
The fuse contains a low-melting-point metal conductor. When abnormal overcurrent flows through the circuit, the conductor generates excessive heat and melts rapidly, cutting off the loop to avoid burnout of PCB, IC and other electronic components. Different types of fuses are designed for different application scenarios: fast blow for sensitive chips, slow blow for equipment with startup surge current, thermal fuse for high-temperature heating appliances, and resettable PTC fuses for reusable small devices. All fuses must be selected strictly according to circuit rated current, operating voltage and maximum ambient temperature to guarantee long-term circuit safety.
