Makeblock Education visited the primary school No. 1 John Paul II located in Łęczyca to observe how our STEAM solutions are being used as part of their classroom resources. Łukasz Cybulski, one of the teachers behind the implementation of STEAM, shares his experience: " My adventure with Makeblock robots began in 2013. A year after, the interest in programming lessons, which students and parents enthusiastically received, was so great that we decided to introduce robotics lessons as an additional compulsory subject for all students at our school, from ages 6 to 15.
The purchase of mBot2 for my school opened another chapter in our adventure with robotics. An extremely interesting part of the mBot2 is the CyberPi microcontroller, which we can use independently of the robot. Combined with Pocket Shield (equipped with a rechargeable battery), it extends CyberPi's capabilities and makes project creation virtually limitless.
A very important aspect of robotics lessons for me is the fact that in addition to typically IT skills, we can develop universal skills that are useful in many areas, such as creativity, the ability to find multiple solutions to the same problem, proceeding according to certain rules, the ability to think spatially, and respect for the work performed, among others.
