How to clean the fiber end of optical fiber connector:
1. Use a clean air stream (CDA) to sweep the surface of the optical fiber to remove larger loose particles. Do not tilt the CDA when blowing. Because the liquid may release contaminants on the surface of the fiber.
2. Place 1-3 drops of spectral grade methanol or isopropanol in the center of the lens tissue. Do not use acetone as a cleaning solvent on the surface of the optical fiber. To ensure the purity of methanol or alcohol, do not insert lenses or cotton swabs into the liquid.
3. Fix the optical fiber through the connector. Place the wet part of the lens on the optical surface and slowly drag it across. In this step, do not use lens paper to dry it, because the dry lens paper is extremely worn.
4. Use a magnifying glass, optical loop or video inspection tool to inspect the fiber surface under light. If there are still streaks or contamination, repeat the previous process.
5. Immediately install a protective cover at the end to avoid re-contamination.
