Petros really likes our DA-ART Aurora, he concluded that the "Aurora is a deeply satisfying all-in-one unit which deviates from the Chi-Fi “measurements for measurements” trend. Instead it follows the old school tuning “by the ear” to offer the listener with the most natural and lifelike music experience with a very organic and analogue like sound signature yet not deprived of transparency and excellent technicalities."

We are excited to introduce DA-ART Aurora, our latest DAC/Amp that can decode up to 768kHz in PCM and DSD512. It also facilitates 8x MQA decoding. We have inlcuded a fully balanced discrete Class A circuit that delivers up to 4000mW per channel (at 32Ω), you can drive a wide choice of headphones to satisfactory performance.

Despite of the very compact design, the Aurora offers extensive input and output options. It accepts USB Audio, S/PDIF Coaxial, Optical and analogue line inputs. Our MAS (Mobile Audio Source) has enabled the USB input to work with iOS and Android mobile devices as well as regular Windows, Mac and Linux computers.

The Aurora is retailed at $520 and it will be available by April 2022.

YULONG Audio has debut our Ultimate Personal Audio Centre DA1 at CanJam SoCal last weekend. Our setup was simple but the DA1 is always occupied. Visitors are unfamiliar with YULONG but they are amazed by what they heard. One visitor even described his audition as "revelatory experience", and he described the DA1 as "Big, spacious, layered soundstage, tremendous pitch delineation through the entire frequency range, and a very delicate and seductive top end.".

We are looking forward to meet with more hobbyists and users in the futures, let's hope the COVID will be under control and more shows and event will be available soon.

When John Grandberg (Project86) quote the Honda NSX as an analogy to illustrate the quality and current status of our DA1, we are so touched and motivated.

“Like the original Acura NSX, Yulong's DA1 is superbly balanced, undeniably attractive, and - while certainly not cheap - ends up being a great value in relative terms. And yet, reading about either of them is not sufficient. They really need to be experienced to be understood. Unfortunately, as with the NSX, not enough people will get that chance.”

We’ll try out best to bring our DA1 to the users whenever possible. To start with, YULONG will demonstrate the DA1 at CanJam SoCal 2021 at Irvine Marriott of Orange County this weekend. iOS is not really Hi-Res friendly until recently when they enabled Hi-Res streaming in Apple Music this week. We were excited and were looking forward to the service launch. If you want to enjoy the Hi-Res streaming from Apple Music right now, iPad Pro is your best bet because you can connect the USB output from iPad Pro to YULONG Aquila II or DA1 directly. These two All-in-One are MAS ready (Mobile As Source), so thy are highly compatible with current mobile devices. On the other hand, if you were using iPad or iPhone, you need a Camera Connection Kit or Camera adapter in order to go beyond 48kHz.

DAC is the core competence of YULONG audio and we always implement our DAC with proper engineering under the available resource.

DA1 is designed around the AKM AK4499 DAC. Decodes up to PCM 32Bit/768kHz and DSD512, the AK4499 will stay current with the rapid pace of hi-res audio technologies. What makes the DAC chip so special is that it has the lowest harmonic distortion on the market, and the Dynamic Range and Signal to Noise Ratio are also extraordinary. These will definitely enhanced the resolution, clarity and density of YULONG DA1.

What’s the point to have a current mode DAC rated at 137dB SNR if the IV circuit is not extremely low noise by design? YULONG takes this seriously and developed a 4-channel 1.7nV low noise 800mA high current IV conversion circuit and a fully discrete high current buffered output stage as optimized supporting circuit to the AK4499 DAC in DA1. Together with YULONG’s proprietary 4th generation JIC FPGA solution as pre-processing, and all there are powered by the 50W high power low noise power supply system as described previously, the complete DAC circuit is nothing short from spectacular.
