Malaysia BIM Day 2026 brought together government, industry and technology leaders to explore the next stage of digital construction in Malaysia. As a Strategic Partner, we were pleased to contribute our vision for Industrial AI × 5D BIM.

🔹 Industry engagement — Organised by Malaysia and Putrajaya, with support from the Ministry of Works Malaysia, the two-day event created a valuable platform for dialogue across government and industry. We also welcomed senior government representatives to our booth and connected with professionals from across Malaysia's construction sector.

🔹 Technology in action — QuantifAI, Gsite, cost management and Smart Tower Crane solutions demonstrated a connected digital pathway from AI-powered quantity take-off and cost management to project collaboration and intelligent site operations.

🔹 Building industry capability — The Malaysia AI × 5D BIM Contest 2026, organised by Glodon with support from CIDB Digital, brought together 17 finalist teams, with submissions evaluated by nine judges from government agencies, professional institutions and industry.

As Malaysia advances towards more intelligent and data-driven construction, we will continue working with government agencies, professional institutions and industry partners to turn digital adoption into connected, practical and measurable industry transformation.

SLG Construction digitalised site inspections, defect tracking, and QA/QC workflows using Gsite's mobile-enabled platform—bringing real-time control to field operations.

Key Outcomes:
300% improvement in QA/QC process efficiency
850+ digital inspections completed & signed off
470+ defects & CARs tracked digitally
1,000+ site diaries recorded in real time
2,900+ site photos documented for traceability
170+ standardised inspection templates deployed

With offline mobile capability, site teams were able to capture, report, and resolve issues directly in the field—reducing delays and strengthening audit readiness and traceability.

Since signing our MoU with RICS, we have continued to deepen the dialogue between our teams and explore how technology and professional expertise can together support the future of the built environment. 🤝

In our latest exchange, Glodon Vice Chairman Liu Qian met with Laura Pacey, Chief Commercial Officer at RICS, Amanda Wood CMgr MCMI, Head of Strategic Partnerships at RICS, and colleagues from both sides for an in-depth discussion on the digital transformation of the construction industry, the growing role of AI, and the importance of professional standards as technology continues to evolve.

One theme stood out clearly: technology and professional expertise should reinforce each other. Digitalization can help make industry standards more accessible and applicable in practice, while trusted professional standards provide an important foundation for the responsible adoption of new technologies.

We also exchanged views on how AI is reshaping professional work. Rather than replacing professional judgement, AI has the potential to empower practitioners with greater efficiency, better information and new ways of working, while keeping human expertise and accountability at the core.

This latest conversation was another valuable step in the ongoing exchange between Glodon and RICS. We look forward to continuing to share experiences, learn from practices across different markets, and contribute to a more digital, connected and future-ready built environment. 🌏🏗

We're getting ready for Singapore! 🌏 With the Summit just around the corner, we're looking forward to sharing ideas, insights and new possibilities for a more sustainable future.

On 3 September, at the The Second Global Business Summit on Belt and Road Infrastructure Investment to Accelerate the SDGs, hosted by 联合国全球契约组织 | United Nations Global Compact. Yuan Zhenggang, Chairman of Glodon Company Limited, will participate in a high-level dialogue and share perspectives on 💡 how digitalization and AI can contribute to greener infrastructure, stronger regional connectivity and sustainable development.
