About a month ago, Rinyu’s Manager SAYO came to me to design a logo for her new record label, Riri Records.
She had spent years as an artist under another label, and when she decided to leave and start her own, she needed an identity for this new chapter.
Now, here is the interesting part…
She didn't give me a long brief. She simply said her label was "an umbrella coverage for music" and that she wanted coffee brown and n**e colors. That was enough.
We kept thinking about that umbrella idea. Not the object itself, but what it represents: protection, support, and bringing people under one roof.
The arcs at the top of the logo became the umbrella.
The first ‘I' in RIRI is raised slightly and act as the handles, the two R's share one center stem, symbolizing one foundation and one vision.
Every detail was intentional.
We explored 11 concepts before arriving at this final direction. What I love most about branding is that sometimes the best ideas come from a single sentence.
A client says a few words. You listen carefully. Then you turn those words into something people can see.
She came in for a logo. We delivered a mark that tells her story without saying a word.
We’d love to know what you think when you look at it.
