The African video game industry is no longer a promise.
It is happening now.
Over the past 10 years, a new generation of African studios has been quietly emerging, building games, communities, and creative ecosystems across the continent.
Step by step - Project by project - Talent by talent.
At Noohkema Game Studios, we have been part of this movement for years — exploring how African stories, mythologies, and characters can become powerful interactive worlds.
Today, we are taking the next step.
We are relaunching the development of Afro Warriors: Battle for Power.
An very early version of the game is already available on Google Play, and the project is now entering a new production phase as we prepare the next milestone of development.
But this is not only about making a game.
It is about building something sustainable.
Our goal is clear:
• Build a profitable and sustainable studio
• Create new jobs in the creative industries
• Train and mentor young African talents interested in game development
• Contribute to the growth of Africa’s global presence in video games
To support this new phase, we are opening collaboration opportunities for talented creators who want to be part of the journey.
We are currently looking for:
• Character Animators (combat / keyframe animation)
• Shader & Lighting Artists
• Unity & Unreal Developers
• Combat Design collaborators
• Sound Designers & Music composers
• UI / UX designers (game interface)
The next milestone focuses on expanding the playable roster and polishing the gameplay in preparation for competitive opportunities.
If you are a developer, artist, or creative professional interested in contributing to the growth of the African game industry, this is a great moment to join the journey.
📩 Feel free to reach out or share your portfolio.
Because the truth is simple:
The African game industry will not grow without the people who decide to build it.
