Im September und Oktober 2025 hat AV-TEST 16 Sicherheitsprodukte fรผr Heimanwender in ihrer Standardkonfiguration untersucht. Es wurden immer die aktuellsten รถffentlich verfรผgbaren Versionen der Produkte fรผr den Test verwendet. Diese konnten sich jederzeit per Online-Update aktualisieren und ihre โ€žIn-the-Cloudโ€œ-Services nutzen. AV-TEST berรผcksichtigte nur realistische Testszenarien und prรผfte die Produkte gegen aktuelle Bedrohungen. Die Produkte mussten ihre Fรคhigkeiten unter Einsatz sรคmtlicher Funktionen und Schutzebenen unter Beweis stellen.

During September and October 2025 we continuously evaluated 16 home user security products using their default settings. We always used the most current publicly-available version of all products for the testing. They were allowed to update themselves at any time and query their in-the-cloud services. We focused on realistic test scenarios and challenged the products against real-world threats. Products had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers.

- Careful with downloads: Do not download programs or other data from the Internet without checking. Use trusted sources, such as your local IT support or the websites of software manufacturers. Only download programs for which you have the necessary licenses.
- Check websites: On many websites the user has to log in with a password. It is important that you are on the original page. Is the connection to the website encrypted? The URL in the address bar tells you whether the connection to a website is encrypted. If it starts with https:// instead of with http://, the connection is encrypted. Many browsers display a small green padlock as an icon next to the address bar. A click on the green padlock provides information about the website.

Usa una password diversa per ogni account, servizio o dispositivo per evitare che una violazione comprometta anche gli altri.
Mantieni le password segrete โ€“ non condividerle mai con nessuno, nemmeno con il supporto IT o i colleghi. Usa le funzioni di delega invece di condividere le credenziali.
Non scrivere le password. Se รจ assolutamente necessario, conservale in un luogo sicuro e accessibile solo a persone autorizzate.
