Choosing the right Large Language Model is no longer just a feature evaluation; it's a core infrastructure decision.

The landscape is changing fast. The leading model in agentic coding today might be completely different in just a few months. That's why enterprises are shifting from model-first to infrastructure-first thinking.

🖼️ The 2026 Enterprise LLM Selection Framework 🖼️

Multi-model strategies route tasks dynamically across specialized models:
- Claude 4.6 Opus for repository-level development
- GPT-5.4 for terminal and cloud console automation
- Gemini 3.1 Pro for massive context digestion up to 2 million tokens

But here's the critical infrastructure layer: a private LLM API gateway serves as an abstraction layer, letting developers switch underlying models instantly as performance leaderboards change without rebuilding integrations.

Zero-Token Retention (ZTR) provides technical guarantees that sensitive data remains in volatile memory and is permanently purged post-inference, ensuring corporate data never trains external models.

For organizations under the EU AI Act, sovereign AI infrastructure with Swiss data residency provides strict control over data processing jurisdiction and minimizes cross-border risks.

The framework balances intelligence, speed, and cost through four pillars: reasoning tiers (System 1 vs. System 2), context window strategy, total cost of ownership at scale, and infrastructure-first architecture.

🤖 The right LLM is a per-task decision.
🏗️ The right infrastructure is constant.

There's something special about a room full of people who actually get it.

The NYC wrapped on Friday, and while it was just one day, the depth of conversation packed into those hours was remarkable. The Drupal Community isn't waiting for permission to figure out how AI and open source can coexist. They're building it in real time.

A huge thank you to the organizers who pulled this together, the volunteers who kept everything running smoothly, and every community member who showed up ready to dig into the hard questions about autonomous agents, data sovereignty, and what responsible AI infrastructure actually looks like.

These conversations matter. The Drupal ecosystem has always been about building the right way, not just the fast way, and watching that ethos extend into the AI era is genuinely inspiring.

To everyone who made the summit what it was: thank you for showing up, sharing your insights, and continuing to push this community forward.

Already looking forward to the next one. Happy Drupaling! 💙💧

"Our compliance team blocked every AI agent proposal we've submitted."

We’re hearing this more often than you'd think.

The frustrating part? Your compliance team is not being difficult. They're doing their job. When the default setup means routing your proprietary data through external infrastructure, "no" is the responsible answer.

There's a different approach worth exploring.

We recorded our webinar, walking through how OpenClaw hosting works when data sovereignty isn't negotiable. Region-locked infrastructure, private containers, and direct control over where everything runs.

Here's what the session covers:
– The friction point: why autonomous agents trigger compliance reviews (and what infrastructure actually passes them)
– What "managed but private" really means in practice
– Watch us spin up a production-ready instance (takes about 15 seconds)
– Connecting to frontier models without the typical data exposure risks

No sales pitch. Just a technical walkthrough of what's architecturally possible when privacy forms the basis of the setup, not a “nice-to-have” add-on.

Built for platform engineers, infosec teams, and anyone stuck between "we need AI capabilities" and "we can't send data to public endpoints."

The AI honeymoon phase is ending. 🍯🌕

Our Founder, Michael Schmid, sat down with Newsletter Datenschutz to discuss the tension enterprises face: AI needs more data to work better. Data protection requires minimizing data collection.

The biggest risk? Many AI providers built their business on monetizing user data. As public training sources run out, they're turning to what users enter daily, often without clear consent.

Michael's message: demand data sovereignty. Know where your data is processed, who controls it, and whether it's used for training. Private AI infrastructure isn't optional anymore!

Read our blog for a deep dive on what they discussed:

Your AI agent just learned six months of tribal knowledge about your deployment pipeline. Who owns that?

The persistence gap is getting solved. Agents like OpenClaw now remember context between sessions, learn your workflows, and get smarter over time. But we're creating a new problem: institutional knowledge stored on someone else's infrastructure with vague terms of service.

This isn't just "AI memory." It's distilled operational logic: Your architecture decisions, deployment patterns, and the reasoning behind technical debt. Portable, searchable, and extremely valuable.

The ownership question matters now:

→ Shared infrastructure means your agent's learned patterns co-mingle with other tenants
→ "Deletion" in shared systems is often just a database flag
→ Security incidents (like the ClawHavoc supply chain attack with 341 malicious skills) become cross-tenant risks

amazeeClaw is built differently:

Dedicated container isolation: Your agent never shares infrastructure with another tenant
Region-locked hosting: Pick EU, US, or AU; data stays in that jurisdiction
True exit strategy: Export or destroy; no shared system for data to hide in
ISO 27001 + SOC Type II certified: Verifiable controls, not marketing claims

Private by architecture shouldn't be a luxury tier. It should be the default.

Tired of retraining your AI every day? Persistent memory fixes the "reset" gap, but who owns the data? Learn how to own your agent's memory with amazeeClaw.

72% of organizations rank data privacy as their top AI concern.

44% have already experienced sensitive data leaking into AI systems.

Michael Schmid will be speaking at the in New York about why sovereignty matters more than compliance checkboxes:

→ Three pillars: data sovereignty, model sovereignty, operational sovereignty
→ How open-source foundations (Drupal + Kubernetes) eliminate vendor lock-in
→ Real deployment patterns: private LLM proxies, region-locked vector databases

We're heading to (May 12-14)! 🇳🇿

If you're building Drupal sites that need to handle modern bot traffic, or evaluating AI infrastructure that doesn't compromise data sovereignty, our team will be there with two technical sessions worth your time:

👉 Sean Hamlin (Principal Architect): "Bots, Scrapers, and Proxies: Defending Drupal Sites in an Automated Internet"

🗓️ Wednesday, May 13 | 10:10-10:40 AM | Breakout 1

Modern bots use headless browsers, residential proxies, and AI-driven scraping that mimics real users. Traditional IP blocking doesn't cut it anymore. This session covers pragmatic, layered defenses; Drupal modules like Perimeter and CrowdSec, plus how to use Anubis to selectively protect high-cost endpoints without breaking accessibility or SEO.

👉 Toby Bellwood (Head of Engineering): "Platform-First AI: How We Built a Secure AI Infrastructure and Showcased It Through Drupal"

🗓️ Thursday, May 14 | 1:20-1:50 PM | Breakout 2

Most organizations start with AI use cases, then scramble for compliant infrastructure. We built the platform first, LiteLLM-based, multi-provider, complete data sovereignty, then developed Drupal integrations to prove it works. We'll cover our open source AI infrastructure, custom Drupal AI Provider module, and real implementations (batch alt-text for 10k+ catalogs, vector-powered chatbots).

Autonomous agents are driving real ROI. Yet most teams hit the same wall: data residency requirements, privacy concerns, and procurement delays that stretch to six months.

The problem isn't the technology, it's the infrastructure question. Where does the data live? Who controls it? How do you access Claude or other LLMs without sending prompts into the void?

Our on-demand webinar walks through the solution:

→ Managed OpenClaw hosting with regional data residency (EU/CH)
→ ISO 27001/SOC 2 certified infrastructure
→ Private AI gateway for secure LLM access
→ Live provisioning demo (takes seconds)

For software engineers and DevOps teams experimenting with OpenClaw locally, or agencies building AI workflows that need enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Speakers: Michael Schmid (Founder & GM) and Thomas Schröpfer (AI GTM Program Manager)
